Had this for about 3 years now and nothing ever went wrong when I plugged a device in for power or to charge. Plugged things in such as Laptops, iPhones, iPods, and phone chargers. Very good product. Only design flaw is that the mounting braccket on the bottom is not wide enough, screwdriver is blocked by body of unit.
