I bought this to replace two Cobra 150 watt units as the units worked but the fans kept burning out and once it can't cool itself it turned off. I figured that if I gota bigger unit it would run cooler based on the fact that it wouldn't be running near its max all the time. I've had the unit over a month and it has worked perfectly, down to the undervolt alarm coming on BEFORE it ran my car battery dead. This is a very good feature. I was running an HP Laptop, a 500 gig external drive, a battery charger and my rechargeable clippers on my car battery for over two hours (work out of my vehicle) and other than a small hum from the fan it ran perfectly. I would suggest this for anyone looking for a small unit with a lot of power.

The Cobra CPI 475 is a 12 volt DC to 120 volt AC power inverter with 400 watts continuous power handling and 800 Watts peak power. This unit contains a 5 volt USB output, modified sine wave, thermal shutdown, reverse polarity protection, low voltage shutdown, low voltage alarm, external fuse, 2 grounded AC receptacles, and includes a carry case, cigarette lighter plug, and direct- to battery cables.Generators
