Customer Review: Rock Solid
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a Directv installer and have seen just about every mount available. This is a rock solid mount. With dual support arms and heavy duty steel construction, you can't beet the price. This is the mount I decided to use with my 55" Samsung LCD and not looking back at the other mounts I was thinking about at all. I am very happy with my decision, which is rare. This mount is adjustable in every aspect possible. Tilt, Twist, Swivel, Extend, and Skew.
This mounts comes with every screw, bolt, toggle, and spacer you would ever need to mount your brand of TV. I used my own high quality 3" x 3/8" Lag bolts to mount to stud in wall. I have personally snapped lesser quality Lags with ease. Lag bolts are not all created equally and since those are the week link in your TV mounting assembly, do yourself a favor and use at least 2 high quality 3" x 3/8" Lag bolts directly in center of studs, besides the included toggles and flares. Less than a buck to save your $1,000 plus investment.
Anyone looking to buy a wall mount should definitely go with one that you can pull away from the wall weather your planning to twist it at a angle or not. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to install or change cables in the back of a flat screen that is stuck against a wall. And believe me, just tilting it up on a wall hugger unit isn't always good enough.
As always, know whats inside your wall and where the studs are before you mount it, especially if there is a kitchen, bathroom, or laundry room on the other side.

Customer Review: Good mount
Summary: 5 Stars

Since all previous reviews help me decide to buy this mount, I felt I'd better pay if forward.

Took my dad and I ~1 hour to install. I'd highly recommend having that extra set of hands. I could have probably done it by myself but I would have had to disassemble the mount to make it lighter/easier to hold while installing. The kit comes with 2" lag bolts but we bought some 2 1/2" bolts with larger washers. Can't be too safe! DO NOT TRUST THE BUILT IN LEVEL!! We started by using that level since it's built in, but once we double checked with an actual level we found it to be extremely off!

Once the wall mount is mounted, the rest of the installation goes rather quickly. My TV is a 46" LED/LCD that only weighs 40lbs so this mount was more than enough support. I intentionally angled the TV down a few degrees just cause that's what I wanted. One cool feature is that the TV side of the mount does rotate (like a steering wheel, 5 degrees +/-)!! I read this in another person's review and didn't really understand until I installed it. My TV ended up being just slightly off level once mounted, so I rotated the TV about 1 degree and now it's perfect... really cool feature!!

I got a quote from a company to come and mount my TV and they said it'd be ~$500 ($300 for mount and $200 for labor)! Save your money and do it yourself... this is a great mount and fairly easy to install yourself.

So far it's perfect. Will return with an update if any issues arise.

Customer Review: Great mount, watch where you buy from
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this mount after reading many of the reviews and I am satisfied with the mount. I had an extra stud so I used six lag screws instead of four as recommended. I also replaced the hardware (also got it a bit stronger than what came with the mount) as some of the reviews recommended, but I really did not see that the hardware sent was a problem to begin with, but I did it to be on the safe side. After installing the wall plate, but before installing the TV, I had my 145 pound son hang from the mount fully extended and noticed that it did not seem to have a problem with that weight so I figured my 50 pound TV (47 inch Vizio TruLED) would be fine and it is. I can see where tilting can be a problem, but since I really don't intend to change the tilt now that I have it set, I am not going to worry about it.
The only problem I had with this whole experience is when I went back to Amazon later that day, they had the same mount for $30 less than I paid and the shipping was half the price I paid. When I contacted Amazon about that, they said they were sorry but really there was not a lot they could do other than for me to send the item back when I received it and by the cheaper item. Since DiscountJungle has a 15% restocking fee, I just used the whole thing as a lesson learned. Just be careful to look at all the pricing before you buy because you can't take it back once you press the submit button.
To summarize, great, strong mount which does what I want it to, but buyer beware.

Customer Review: Very sturdy, Easy to mount
Summary: 4 Stars

I ordered this for my plasma 50" and I was surprised at how heavy it was. It's pretty well-built. The installation was easy, though don't let yourself think it will take an hour. I consider myself pretty handy with a hammer and screwdriver, and as long as you can handle basic do-it-yourself projects, it should only take 2-3 hours. Included in that time was mounting recessed gang boxes and fishing cables through wall, though. It gives several methods for mounting to either drywall(with drywall mounts, though it would be a little heavy to mount in drywall alone, in my opinion), directly into the studs(method I used) and also masonry anchors and bolts. They even included 2 levels so it helps to keep the mount level when mounting to wall.
Once it was up on the wall, we attached the TV and I can only say that I had to hold my breath waiting for the TV to drop, but much to my pleasant surprise, it was firmly attached to wall. Just a note here....when installing this mount and the TV to it, you will need 2 people to do the job. THIS IS NOT A 1 PERSON JOB!!!!!
The TV mount does sag a little when it's extended, but I didn't notice any problems with stability.

I recommend this, but I am no engineer, nor am I a professional installer so for all of you lawyer types, please just take this as a recommendation as to my experience and not an endorsement. (You can never be too sure these days who will sue you. This is just an opinion.)

Customer Review: Best mount ever--with a little dumb luck
Summary: 5 Stars

I could not be happier with this stand. The overall appearance is clean and strong. Once installed the mount could easily support my 40 inch LCD and more--I was pulling on the arms to test its strength after my TV was mounted. An included safety bar keeps the TV in place and secure. The duel actuating arms give you the freedom to easily point your display in a wide degree of viewing angles. Being able to pull it away form the wall made it great for accessing the cable in back. Very simple install, came with all the neccissary hardware and additional pieces.

Where the dumb luck comes into play:

With the help of a friend I was able to measure, drill, and mount in about 40 minutes. But as hard as we tried to get the drilled holes and base of the mount level, our work was slightly off. Even though the base would be on an angle, we continued to attach the mount and later the LCD. Sure enough the display was PERFECTLY level. It was dumb luck that the stand was not manufactured perfectly level and the hardware made up for our drilling error. Had the two of us successfully installed the base of the mount level, the display would have been tilted.

Overall the stand looks great, is very strong, secure, and allows for easy adjustment of the direction and angle. The only thing you have to look our for is making sure everything is level, not just your drilling, but the mount itself. A+, but I did get lucky.
