Customer Review: Not a deal, a steal

I've purchased this product twice, once for my 50" plasma tv and again for my 42" plasma. For the price, the quality is exactly the same as you'd spend at a retailer such as Best Buy. But instead you'll pay $20 instead of $200. It comes with parts for every imaginable TV to make sure it mounts properly, and it comes with every imaginable part to make sure you can mount it on your wall properly. I just finished mounting my 42" in my bedroom and it took me less than 30 minutes. This includes running wires through the walls. The actual mounting installation process and hanging takes about 10 minutes. I'm a Cheetah Mounts customer for life.
The only caveat is that the levels they send you aren't worth anything. I'm assuming it's because they get banged around in shipping, but you'll definitely want to use your own leveler.
This is a great product. I wish I had more HDTVs so I could mount them just for fun with this astounding product. It works on studs or just pure drywall and it does it magnificently.
The angle modification is perfect as well. Since I mounted the 42" in the bedroom I put it high on the wall and angled it downwards for better viewing from a head on a pillow. Works and looks great. My 50" is in the living room so I kept it flat against the wall ant it looks perfect. No matter what your need, this is the mount for you.
I've ordered some more Cheetah parts for housing my cable box and dvd player. I'm comfortable assuming that this will be of the same quality as everything I've dealt with from Cheetah. Great company, fast shipping, excellent products. Highly recommended, you won't regret it.

I mounted a TV for my mother-in-law a few months ago and the mount she purchased was ~$100.00. Last thing I wanted to do was spend $100.00 to get a mount for my $500.00 TV, when I could have put the $100 towards getting a better TV... so I looked around Amazon and saw the Cheetah mounts, liked the price, read the reviews and decided to go for it.
The device requires some assembly, and the directions are a little limited, but not rocket science (I suffered through Ikea purchases a zillion times worse). The install went ok but be warned, the level that is mounted on the Cheetah bracket is NOT level, so do NOT count on it to get your bracket nice and level on the wall. Fortunately I had a much better level available and was able to straighten out the bracket (I decided to not even bother with the free level that was provided, that went right to the kids). I also had some issues with the tilt mechanism on the bracket and had to settle for the angle I could get and not what I wanted (the screws on the brackets did not clear the TV and bracket arm at some angels and thus I had to take what I could get). It would have been nice if the bracket used regular hex head bolts, then I could have picked my angle and got in their with a ratchet and extension (but how many people have this, so I can see the point behind the screws that were used).
All of that said, you can't go wrong with this thing given the price. It will hold the TV to the wall, it will give you some tilt and it will save you some $$$ over the other higher priced mounts.

Product arrived in just two days. Unboxed to wall mount took all of about 15 minutes, requiring a 4 bolt assembly of the wall bracket, drilling of pilot holes in the wall studs, leveling, and attaching the two brackets to the back of the TV. Wall mount came with one level attached on the top rail, (which was a bit unreliable since the rail was not totally straight when tightening down) and another level for use to true the mount up (Nice thought from the company!). Came with everything we needed EXCEPT the correct size bolts to mount the brackets to our new 32" LG LCD TV model 32LD350. No problem, the TV came with it's own bolts, and the mount kit came with washers. Together a great package deal and a great mount for any 32" flat screen! You CANNOT see this mount from anywhere around the TV!!
Really appreciated the ease of mounting the rails on the wall, then simply hanging the tv with brackets attached on the rails. Adjustment of tilt is smooth and the two bolts that hold the bottom of the TV bracket up tight to the bottom rail required a long regular screwdriver to complete the task effortlessly. All in all, no special tools required other than a drill and bit, socket wrench for the 4 wall stud screws, a small phillips and long regular screwdriver. NICELY DONE CHEETAH!!
For the price of this under $27 and free shipping, you simply cannot go wrong! Will definately use this company again when I buy my larger TV for the family room....

I used this mount with a Panasonic 32' LCD HDTV. There are two bracket that attach to the tv and 1 wall bracket after assembly. Installation was easy with the enclosed instructions and hardware, althought the included fasteners for attaching the brackets to the tv were too long and I had to cut them to the correct length. This may not be the case for other tv's. There were several sets of fasteners for tv differences.
My wall studs (16" centers) were off from where I wanted the tv to be, and I didn't want to use the sheet rock anchors(included), so I installed the bracket to the studs and positioned the tv to the far end of the wall bracket, which made the location of the tv close enough to where I wanted it. You can adjust (slide) the tv on the wall bracket approximately 8" side to side if necessary, or if you want to use the included sheet rock wall anchors, you can install the wall bracket exactly where you want it.
There are two security anchor screws on the bottom of the tv brackets to keep the tv from coming off the wall bracket. These have to be adjusted after installation of the tv onto the wall bracket and requires a long screw driver from below the tv. I debated whether to secure these screws, since I don't think my tv would have beed accidentally lifted (approx. 1/2") and come off the bracket. It has a 25 deg tilt range which was enough for my installation.
This bracket worked very well for me and I would definitely recommend it.

I just bought a 32" Samsung LCD and decided on this mount for it.
Pros: For the price, this is a great deal. I have no experience with other brands of mounts, but I've found this one to be very sturdy and feel comfortable hanging a 30lb TV on it.
Cons: While this was a great purchase for the money, here are the negatives I've found about this mount.
1) The reason I took a star off was because of the design of this mount. Adjusting the screws is very difficult once the TV is hanging. In addition, I needed to get an extra long screwdriver to adjust the bottom-locking screws. I do not have experience with other mounts though, so this may be standard. Still though, it could be a little better designed to be user friendly.
2) The built in level seemed to be off. However, Cheetah includes a free level with this model and I used another one I had just to double check.
3) The directions were straight forward, however, they recommend an 3/16" drill bit for the pilot hole. I found this to be way to small to fit the anchors in and had to use a 3/8" drill bit to get them to fit. Don't try to hammer and force them in, you will just damage the anchor. It should be snug though. 3/8" bit worked.
Overall this was a great product for the price, and I would definitely buy it again.
