I've tried it with many PCs and never has it been recognized as a USB 2.0 device.
I've compared this card reader with a friend that has a very similar one and we noticed that some components were different under the transparent plastic shell.
The model I've received might be from a different batch and it would cost more to ship it back than to order another model.

Don't have a 6-in-1 card reader for your Desktop computer? This PnP USB 2.0 Memory Card reader/writer is a fast and easy solution. I purchased it specifically for use with my cell phone's MicroSD memory, after finding out how much their proprietary x-fer software was. It has also come in quite handy with relatives digital cameras, and my Grandparent's digital photo frame.Customer Review: Its good !

At first look, you'll find it cheap due to transparent plastic but let me tell you...this is a hard plastic and its quite sturdy. The package arrived neat; I had opted for standard shipping which was through USPS. The case was in bubble packing hence no worries of internal damage. I really like this card reader and one of the reason it looks awesome and its very handy and easy to use! Easily transfers data and pictures from digital camera to pc and mac! Its 6 in 1 with usb 2.0 speed and its extremely fast transfering data! It also transfer SDHC data and thats one of the reason i bought this card reader! I ordered this card reader as part of a package (with SD card) to give as a gift. The card reader would not work on their computer. I believe it runs an earlier version of Windows. I contacted seller for help or appropriate drivers to make it work. Their only suggestion was to return it. It may work with xp or vista, but I wouldn't order it for earlier versions.
