This thing just flat out DOES NOT WORK. You insert it, the red light blinks twice, then Windows says an "unrecognized device has been detected". I sent it back to the vendor (it cost me over $1 to return a $5 item) and, SURPRISE, the new one does exactly the same thing!
Don't waste your time or money with this thing. I would rate it zero stars but that doesn't seem to be an option.

PC doesn't recognize the reader. I bought it to read my 8gig card. Everything fits fine but my PC does not recognize it. At my computer I double click on removable disk and get "please insert a disk into drive F", I right click and it says 0 for all capacity.

This is a great gadget. It allows you to plug your memory card in it, and then stick it in any USB port to view pictures or edit files. The best part is when your memory card becomes too small for your needs, you buy a larger one and swap it. You keep the reader, replace the card. The fact that it is SDHC means it can also support 4GB and higher capacity cards. Did I mention it is inexpensive?Customer Review: HORRIBLE.

It worked well at what its supposed to do. Thats not the problem. I was using it on campus and had it plugged into the usb port on the computer. My classmate simply rubbed her arm on it and the thing literally exploded into pieces. All of it came apart. I was stunned to see my sd card go flying by my face. Being unable to give "Zero or Negative" stars...
I got two of these, hoping to be able to read my 4gb and 8gb SDHC cards. Unfortunately, this reader does not recognize them. Hey, even garden-variety 2GB cards are not recognized... The product packaging itself does not mention HC either...
But - at five bucks, it even does not deserve returning back...
