Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of DMS 6-in-1 USB 2.0 High Speed Memory Card Reader Writer for SD SDHC MiniSD MiniSDHC MMC rsMMCCustomer Review: Neat Gadget Summary: 3 Stars
This is a neat little thing. It will do the regular size and the mini. I like that part. There is one downfall. You can not delete data while using this. I like to delete pictures I don't like but this thing automatically flips the button to lock when you enter it in. Now I have to do all the deleting from the camera. Plus, you have to remember to "unlock" it when you put it back into your camera. Other than that I love it.
Customer Review: Spotty Performance Summary: 1 Stars
Doesn't work well with SDHC (>2GB) which is why I brought it. It's a toss up weather it will mount at all and I usually have to try several times. ...also runs really hot. It spontaneously unmounted in the middle of data transfer and killed my card which I had to reformat. I got it for free as a promotion and its easy to see why they are giving these away. You'd be better off spending a little more for a better product.
Customer Review: Very slow. Summary: 2 Stars
Just like most card readers these days- got it for free (small s/h though) with purchase of memory card.
PROS: it works
CONS:
Card it was paired with was rated 20MB/sec.
Run some tests:copy 500MB file.
2 year old transcend card reader took 27 sec = 18.5MB/sec
this reader took 1:56 sec = less then a 5MB/sec
So, you decide if you need it.
Customer Review: it works Summary: 4 Stars
what's there to say? it works. the speed is not super fast, and the 6-in-1 deal is a marketing gimmick, but i bought this for cheap so i don't really mind. many places charge you a lot for one of these things, but sometimes they can also be had for free. there is not much else to say. construction is solid and there is even a light to indicate that data is being transferred to/from the connected card.
Customer Review: this is selling at a low price for one cent right now Summary: 1 Stars
i dunno y they are selling it for one cent, because i tried mine, and i stuck the card in the back of it, and the computer still didnt recognize it. one cent is a life savings for this piece of junk. u will get no where with this. the only pro of this is, is that the red LED light blinks a few times......oooohhhh.....
other than that, wow. its nothing to order. go get u something better to buy.
