Customer Review: Cheap is cheap and useless for SDHC Class 10 Cards

I ordered the SDHC USB adapter, it does not support theSDHC Class 10 card I have. I have both SD and SDHC Class 10 Sandisk cards. This adapter can only read and render the photos on the 1GB SD card. on the Sandisk Extreme 8GB Class 10 card, you can see the file listing, but you cannot read the file contents or copy them anywhere.
The adapter has no indicator of the correct insertion orientation, and I cannot see how anyone could possibly use it for anything other than a SD card ...not mini as advertised. There is only one slot that is SD sized, good luck trying to put a mini card in it and retreiving it.
The adapter only works with low capacity SD cards. So it is useless for me and most buyers of today's camera equipment.
I have contacted the seller twice with no actionable response.
I am still hoping they will make good and send me an adapter I can use.

I was very happy to find this offer to get the reader free with the 8GB MicroSD card. I was confused at first because it seemed not to work but I ready a review on this site that said it may not work if the usb port is recessed. I had plugged it in and the light came on but my computer didn't detect it. After reading the review I switched it to a different usb on the back of my laptop and it showed up and was ready to use within 5 seconds. What can I say, it works perfectly and looks pretty cool too. Plus, since it does read standard SD cards it can be used with other cards that I have that are standard size and Digital Media sent the SD adapter for my MicroSD card anyway. Fantastic deal and it got here faster than any of the other stuff I ordered on Amazon.Customer Review: Simply doesn't work

Similar to so many of the reviews, I got this device very cheap but XP (service pack 3) on two of my machines won't recognize it. When I put my card in another SD reader everything is fine so it isn't the card. I can't seem to find any drivers on the seller's site and the product is branded with their logo. Other companies brand with the same basic device. I ripped it open (since who wants to return something so cheap) and it uses an Alcor AU6332 chip as the controller, but there are no special drivers since it's supposed to work with default drivers unless you're on 98. I'm throwing it in the trash right now. *plunk*
Unless you feel lucky, I wouldn't buy one of these. Try something slightly more expensive that has a chance of working.

Buyer Beware! Digital Media Source will not issue you a refund if you return this item. There is NO customer service if you have to return an item for refund. I was ripped off for the first time by this company with no resolution. I returned an item to this company back in Sept. 2009 and as of today, November 18, 2009, I still have no credit on my credit card. I have sent them numerous emails with no response as to my refund. They either ignore your emails or play games with you. Not fun. I have bought LOTS of items from Amazon.com over the past 20 years and this is the first company that has ever ripped me off. I may never buy from amazon.com if they continue to keep sellers like this on their site. I thought you should be warned....Customer Review: Handy Dandy!

This reader works great for transferring music and pics to your micro card for use in your smart phone. I have a card reader on my laptop, but with this I can use it wherever.
This Reader is about the size of a flash drive and weighs even less. Your computer will have to install the reader software before you use it the first time, but it is self contained, and just requires a couple of minutes before first time use. You seem to need a mini adaptor to put the micro card in, but every micro card I've ever bought had at least that with it. I just leave the mini card adaptor in the reader and I am ready to go.
If you have a smart phone or other device with a micro card, this doo-dad is very handy to have!
