Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of USB Data Cable For LG VX9100 EnV2, VX8610 Decoy, AX300, AX830, LX400 Blue, LX400 Burgundy, UX300 Cell PhoneCustomer Review: Worked with my EnV2... The trick is finding a program to hack your phone! Summary: 5 Stars
The USB cable works with the EnV2. I'm not really sure if the disc did anything (I put it in the computer and just let it do it's thing), but in order to get into your phone and utilize the USB cable, you need a third party program (that Verizon and LG will not support) to "get" into your phone. Google search BitPim, and it will have all the essential tools and software you need to hack your phone. It's free. Don't expect to be able to work a miracle just by plugging your phone into your USB port. LG and Verizon have locked the phone so that you have to buy every blessed song and program from them. Fight the Power!
Customer Review: Cable doesn't work Summary: 1 Stars
I have the vx9100 cell phone. This cable even has a sticker on it "ITEM:VX9100/VX9700 but get the same results as everyone else... reboots my phone and says "battery is required" even though the battery is in. Windows 7 detected a modem as the phone rebooted but as the phone never gets to boot back up again it is never found. I understand now why it was so cheap. So annoying that people have to rip others off like this. This cable is obviously a fake as there are 4 other users (as of this post) who experience the exact same problem. Don't be fooled by the price.
Customer Review: does not work, cannot return Summary: 1 Stars
I ordered this cable, did not work with my cell phone. Phone said "battery required". There was a battery in there. Tried several different ways to get it work. DID NOT WORK. My other cable worked fine (same computer, same day, few minutes later). Their return policy is not good and it would cost more to return then it's worth... so more landfill garbage. I will not be ordering another data cable from them.
Customer Review: Attention nV2 owners Summary: 3 Stars
The cable was inexpensive, and delivered quickly. However, it was my mistake to assume the nV2 could do anything of value via cable. On my phone, I get a "battery required" message when plugging the phone into my PC. So, basically, you can't do anything with it. I was simply hoping to synch my contacts and copy over my photos and such. No joy. Don't waste your money. (It won't even charge the phone)
Customer Review: I can make my own ringtones Summary: 3 Stars
It's a shame a traditional USB cable wont work. I'm sure LG designed it that way so they could make some extra money selling the cables. That's why I gave it 3 stars.
Anyways, I was able to connect it to my computer and download songs and ringtones no problem. I can't say for sure, but I don't think I used the CD. Just used BitPim.
