So I knew it was possible that this converter would end up being mono, however this thing can do stereo. I plugged my SkullCandy Aviators and the 3.5mm plug did not fit in all the way. regardless, it worked in stereo, but when I plugged in computer speakers they worked only in mono. Playing around with the cables I was able to push in, turn and pull out the jack to get stereo out of the computer speakers. Now after fiddling around with this splitter, my headphones that worked in stereo originally now plays mostly in mono and takes work to get stereo out of it. It's really tiresome when your trying to get this thing to work. Moreover, no 3.5mm fits in correctly through the jack and makes connections really dissatisfying for me. I like my plugs to fit snug and tight. This thing feels like the converter is too small and not designed well, it stops halfway and when you try to push it in all the way it doesn't really work any better. Don't buy this, buy a y converter that has separate wires.
