Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of CircuitSealerTM Precision Pen acrylic-based 6 mLCustomer Review: First time user Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this "pen" after an internet search for ways to repair the broken copper lines (traces) on the back of a 1977 Mustang instrument panel, in order to get 3 instrument lights working. It does not come with real in depth instructions, but useable ones. On thing you must do, other then shake well, is to wait for the solution to really dry, as I tried to check one socket several times and did not get a circuit. However after about two hours I had continuity and the socket was good to go. I also used a small electric heater to heat the repairs, as suggested, to speed the "curing" process. If I had an electric hair dryer, that may have worked better/easier.
However, you must press the tip against the work and squeeze as the instructions explain to release the solution, which is easy to control and draw your line, or dobber the break, but my circuit board was wavy and portions were raised a 1/4 inch or so above anything solid, so I placed scotch tape under a break (hole) and a putty knife under that raised part to add backing to press the pens tip against.
This was my first time using anything like this and my first time trying to repair a printed circuit. I now have all the lights working and I really think it is a great product.
