Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Cables Unlimited PCM-2296-06 HDMI to DVI D Cable, 6 feetCustomer Review: Works great at a fraction of the price of "name brand" cables Summary: 5 Stars
I am very pleased with this product. It is a fraction of the price of cables made by Monster. Since it is digital, it either transmits the data or it doesn't. Materials the cable is made of doesn't weigh in as with composite or component cables. Definitely would recommend it over the competition. Also, I really like Cables Unlimited. Their service is fast fast FAST and things are well packed. No problems whatsoever with this vendor.
Customer Review: No need to pay tons of money. Summary: 4 Stars
A digital signal is a digital signal. I've seen cables like this in major retail chains for up to $78. This is a digital signal, not an analog signal. With analog, you need to look into high grade cables to ensure a minimum of signal degradation. That just isn't a factor when you're talking about a digital signal that needs to travel 6 ft. VERY happy with my purchase. Was delivered within working days. A good experience overall.
Customer Review: Connects DVD player to computer monitor! Summary: 5 Stars
I used this to connect the HDMI:out of my DVD player to the DVD-D:in of my computer LCD monitor. Then hooked speakers RCA connect from my DVD player.
Result: I get to watch DVDs in the bedroom on my $160 widescreen 22" LCD monitor, without having to spend money on an LCDTV.
So I consider my $6 "investment" for the cable that provided me this ability to be definite winner for BARGAIN of the month! =)
Customer Review: Happy Consumer Summary: 5 Stars
The cheapest way to buy cables is online. Besides, DVI to HDMI is not an easy product to look for in stores.
Pros:
-I use this to connect my old G4 Macmini to 42" Vizio. Digital signal, no need to buy expensive cables as it does the same job of expensive ones.
Cons:
-Unlike HDMI to HDMI, DVI do not carry sound. But that is not a fault of the product. It is just the way DVI is.
Customer Review: Al good! Summary: 5 Stars
I got a Hanns G 22'' monitor for cheap on black Friday last year. The 7600GT card on my comp has 2 DVI out, and the display has 1 HDMI and one VGA (go figure!). I have a DVI-to-VGA adapter but that defeats the purpose of having a graphic card and a big-a$$ displace. RadioShack has this under Monster brand for more than $100. They say it's coasted with 24k gold. Snatch a pair of this on Amazon, and everything works like a champ!
