I recently purchased a new HD tv. I signed up with my cable company for HD service & received a new box. They provided me with component cables. I found out that my cable company doesn't provide HD boxes with HDMI except for the DVR. It did have DVI though. After looking around, and reading that these $50 and higher HDMI cables weren't any better then the cheaper ones, I decided to order this cable. I hooked it up today & wow! The difference between the component & now was unbelievable. The picture on the HD channels is amazing! So glad I did not go broke buying one of those over priced cables! Only took a minute to hook up & the length was perfect.Customer Review: Exactly what I needed

This is perfect. It's probably about $70 cheaper here than in stores, and works great. Two solid, standard cable ends, one obviously HDMI and one DVI. Anyway, the cable is solid, has worked without a flaw, and also gave me great DIGITAL video quality from my Xbox 360. I emphasize digital because I hear that Microsoft sells a similar cable like this, but it is more expensive and it's signal is analog, which can cause more interference and can possibly not give the best possible quality. I have a samsung 42 in plasma TV and I wanted to screen my PC in HD so I bought this cable. I dont think the problem is w/ the cable, but there is a border around the screen about an inch wide whenever I put it in 1920x1080. I probably should have bought a video card with a native HDMI output but there a lil too pricey for me. Font doesnt look that great, but video is really good. Played L4D, CSS, and F.E.A.R. 2 with no lag what so ever. Also watched some HD shows from iTunes on it that looked really good.

Got this to connect my 360 to my monitor instead of buying a hdtv. When I hooked this up it took a moment for my 360 to figure out what on earth was going on but once it started it recognized all my monitors resolutions and I was able to select the one i wished to run in. Pair this with the audio adapter on the older 360's and you got a great picture on your pc monitor and saving a lot of money by not having to buy a new tv. All i had before i got this cable was a little 22" crt tv, my monitor is only a 20" screen but the picture is well over 50 times better! Would someone please explain to me, why this cable, which is the HD cable for computers, STILL needs another cable to put out audio!? I thought the whole point of HD cables, which this one is as seen by the HDMI port for your TV, is to include both sound and video information in ONE cable! Not so! So if, like me, you want to view movies on your PC on your TV, you STILL need to plug in a wire from your headphone jack to the audio-in on the TV! What a joke! If you want video from your laptop to the TV, this will work, and it does look amazingly amazing, but be warned - you'll need another cable for sound.
