i bought two. one to go from tv to upscaling dvd player, one from tv to dish network. (and as my stereo receiver doesn't have any hdmi, i'm using an optical digital cable from tv to stereo receiver). in a nutshell, it all looks and sounds great. i really don't know why anyone would spend their (presumably) hard-earned money on a more expensive cable.
one thing you might want to know-- the two i ordered (at the same time and to the same address) shipped separately. the cables were like 15 cents (15 cents!) apiece, and the shipping was about five bucks apiece. not a bad loss.

The reality is that you don't need to buy an overpriced $80 cable to get a good HDMI connection. I've used two of these cables in my home setup and they work perfectly. I have my DVR cable box combo and PS3 hooked up using these cables and they work great. I do not feel there were any deficiencies in their design or durability. The connections feel solid and I can't see them breaking under normal use. Buying anything more expensive is a huge waste of money and only supports companies looking to fleece consumers with wild claims on what is an otherwise standardized cable. While purchasing an upconvert DVD player, I looked at the HDMI cables in the store, and the cheapest one cost $39.99! Rather than buying it, I came home and checked Amazon and found a handful of cables for less than $20. I chose this cable, and received it a few days later. I hooked it up, and had no problems, so of course I was very satisfied with my purchase. Rather than going on in great length, I'll just close this by telling you to go ahead and purchase this cable as I don't see a reason to spend outrageous prices on one when this one seems to do the job at a fraction of the cost.Customer Review: Not real sure.

Most everything I've read on the internet seems to indicate that there is little or no difference in HDMI cables - whether they cost $100 or $2 - especially in the shorter lengths. I used this cable between our Dish HD receiver and our new Samsung HD TV. But there seemed to be a great deal of pixelating (is that a word?) with this cable. So I replaced it with the cable that came with our Oppo Upconverting DVD player (considerably larger size with ferrules on each end), and there seemed to be an improvement. So, based on very limited viewing, I would recommend a better cable.Customer Review: Poor quality

I had to use a pliers to make the ends (both ends and no they were not damaged in shipping, they were produced defectively) fit snugly enough to even get a signal through. I have to wonder about the quality of the signal now but it appears OK to the naked eye.
Very poor quality. Very disappointing. You get what you pay for? Maybe, but if you even charge one penny for a product, you are making a promise that it has some value to give in return for my money. If your product does not work or does not last as long as it should, you have simply stolen my money.
