Don't go to retail locations for your HDMI cable needs or just about ANY cable needs. The markup is anywhere from 200%-1000% depending on retail chain. I won't mention any names.
These work very well IMO and I have had zero problems using them with my Samsung HPT5064 and my Samsung combo unit VHS-DVDrw so well in fact that when you utilize common devices from manufacturers (at least Samsung) Once you load a DVD it automatically switches to the necessary input for you without you having to hit TV/Video input controls on your remote.
It also helps when you hit the power button on your remote 1 time and everything goes off. I'm very pleased with Amazon's offerings. I try to stick with them because of their reputation and great prices.

I have purchased Cables To Go products for many years, having nothing but satisfaction for many varied cable configurations. I have never been disappointed in either their quality or pricing (and Amazon even has vendors selling identical products for less money than my wholesalers). As a low volume reseller of cable to my customers as needed, I even often just throw 3-5 meter USB 2.0 cables into a deal for no extra $ if they are needed at an installation site, and it allows the customer to see that I am willing to go the extra mile to get their system operating without delay and no extra cost for a nickel-dime necessary item.

I recently bought a Philips 42" LCD and LOVE IT, but didn't have the HDMI cables so I was using the regular plug from the cable. After reading over 100 positive reviews about Cables To Go I decided to go for it, especially with such a cheap price.
As soon as I plugged in the cables, my HD viewing experience was enhanced! ESPN HD is amazing and it feels like I'm right there in the Sports Center Studio. I can't wait for football season.
I highly recommend these cables for the viewer who is not crazy about finding the perfect HD picture, but still cares about quality and overall picture. They work great in my opinion. So if you're looking for good cables, at a cheap price to provide quality HD viewing these are just perfect.

For those who are seeking to get their first pair of HDMI connections like me, look no further. I just received this cable today, quickly hooked it up to my Toshiba Regza 32" HDTV and Toshiba HD-A3 player. The upconversion of the SD DVDs are perfect. Watching Criterion Collection's "The Last Emperor" right now. The subtitles are perfectly rendered. Since the set-up I have just described is in my bedroom, thus I have no AV receiver for sound. For comparison, I used a pair of Belkin analog L-R cables for sound. The sound seemed very much improved over HDMI.
Thumbs up for affordable pricing. Don't throw hard earned money on Monster cables, this cable serves it purpose well. I doubt I will see a great difference in terms of quality.

This is my first HDMI Cable purchase. I bought it basically cause I ran out of component video connections to my lcd tv and I have two hdmi inputs that aren't being used. I was going to buy locally but after seeing some of the prices I checked Amazon. I attached it to my dvd player which supports 480i and my tv which supports 480i and was amazed at the difference that the cable made in the picture and audio quality. I work with various types of equipment all the time with different types of cables. I've seen shoddy and cheap cables. This cable does not look or feel like a cheap cable and the results so far are more than what I expected. Definately would and will purchase another one of these again for any hdmi cable needs in the future.
