Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Cables To Go Velocity Series 40315 HDMI Cable (Blue, 2 meters)Customer Review: does not support 120hz, per manufcturer Summary: 2 Stars
Using a digital HDMI cable is more than just 1's and 0's. If you go to the manufacturer's (acoustic impact) website, you will find this cable does not support 10-bit color, nor does it support 120hz on the new LCD's. Accustic Impact's only HDMI line that supports these features is their "SONICWAVE(tm)" line. If you are buying an HDTV that has 120hz or 10-bit color, it behooves you to buy a cable that will allow you to utilize those features.
If you are using a Blu-Ray player or HD-DVD, dont bother with this cable, you are not going to get the full benefits of these players.

Customer Review: ARE YOU KIDDING?? THIS IS A GREAT VALUE!! YOU'D BE STUPID NOT TO PURCHASE IT! Summary: 5 Stars
Man - oh man - when I found out how many other devices I had to buy to make them compatible with my new tv - I discovered, you need these handy dandy little cords to get everything to work. Well, skies to Betsy I will tell you one thing - this is well worth the money. I was at Best Buy purchasing a new DVD player and I was going to need this cord. The guy showed me one that was around $60 -- I was like "what? are you kidding me?" He said they had another version that was only $39.99 but not the best quality. I said I won't need it because I had already bought mine from the internet. He said "We have the best prices around on these" I was like - "no way - I paid $11.99" - he was incredulous -- he couldn't believe it - he wanted to know where I got it so he could get some too -- HA!
Customer Review: Not an Expert, but.... Summary: 5 Stars
I am not an expert. I do NOT have a $25,000 home theater. All my equipment is Sony except for the speakers, which are Bose. I have a 400-disc DVD changer with a 32-inch LCD Sony KDL-32V2500 display. I use an analog cable signal and no blue ray discs. My DVD player allegedly upgrades the signal of my regular DVDs. While a digital signal is a digital signal, bandwidth is still bandwidth. If I had a more serious/expensive system, I may have gone with a heftier cable, but these cables seem to be pretty hefty themselves. I am not expecting them to fall apart any time soon. The connectors seem stable and fitted to last forever. I can see the improvement watching my DVDs. I do not believe using the Monster cable could make the signal any better than what it is with this cable.
Customer Review: Poor construction. Summary: 2 Stars
I wanted a shorter cable than the $10 RCA 3m cable thrown in with my TV purchase. The "Cables To Go" 40315 2 meter cable is thin and much lighter than the RCA cable. Initially I liked the 40315 cable as I have an articulating mount, and it moved more freely while positioning the TV than the RCA cable which tended to get hung up because it was thicker and heavier. Problem now with 40315 cable is that if I move the TV while the TV is on, the HDMI connection between the cable box and the TV gets cut off. Somewhere within the 40315 cable it shorts or disconnects.
Leads me to think that this is a cheaply constructed cable. Being skinny like it is may mean it comes from cheap material, and if this company skimps on materials it may also skimp on insuring quality construction.
Customer Review: Works perfectly at a great price Summary: 5 Stars
I decided it was time to upgrade to HDMI cables for our TV's. The idea of cutting down from 5 wires to 1 was the real deciding factor, but after a trip to the local electronics store the pricing wasn't worth it. After a quick search on Amazon I could hardly believe the difference and figured the cable couldn't be of any quality. The reviews convinced me to risk it and I ordered some. I have these plugged in to the TV and a PS3, both provide excellent picture on both HD and regular TV channels. I use the PS3 as a DVD player and again the picture is excellent.
The construction of the cables seems close enough to the Monster cables I replaced these with and work as advertised. I can't see any reason to pay 5x the money...the picture couldn't get 5x better.
