Connects my cable box (with DVI out) and my TV (with HDMI in) perfectly. Keep in mind, you'll need some other way to get sound to the TV, since this cable doesn't carry audio.
Don't let the low price of this thing throw you off, as if anything good can't possibly be that cheap. You really don't have to pay the outrageous prices they charge for HDMI and DVI cables in the big box stores.

I've been using this HTMI to DVI cable for about a month now. I use it to connect my Oppo DVD to my Westinghouse 42". What I see is a perfect display of images, the Oppo upconvertion does an excelent job in creating a hi-def experience of the DVDs I use. I bought a new vista computer and I wanted to connect my graphics card to my big screen TV. So i bought this cable. The connection was easy though in the past I have ruined the pin making the connection. Compared to that this was easy. The video is great compared to my S video connection. but the image appears unstable it will black out intermittently. I can't speak for other uses, but this cable displays my Xbox 360 on my LCD monitor amazingly well. I expected ghosting and/or slowdowns with the use of the monitor, but I've been getting an amazing picture that fits in my smaller apartment (no big TV). I am extremely pleased and would recommend this cable to anyone looking for a cheap and great connection for an HDMI-compatible device.Customer Review: Not for PC's or laptops

Believe the other review about PC's or laptops. The cable might work fine for other home electronics outputting the correct resolutions but even with Windows Vista I couldn't get this to spit out the correct resolution. My video card should be more than capable of outputting a 720p compatible resolution but the cable/hardware recognition won't let me select the 1368x720 resolution.
