Didn't work for me. I was trying to hook up a PC to my LCD TV. The TV did not recognize that the PC was connected. Plugged in an equivalent cable from Staples (which cost 6x), and it worked fine. I made no adjustments to either the PC or TV; just changed the cable. I have to conclude I was shipped a dud, and for the $[...] I paid, it's not worth the cost to send it back. Pity, as other reviews looked promising. Alas, it didn't work for me.Customer Review: Good Product

This is one of the best products to buy if you want to connect your laptop to your HDTV. It is long enough to sit at least 7 feet away from TV and at the same time navigate on the big screen.
Don't buy into big claims of Monster cables since they deliver the same product as this cable. So think before risking $90-100 vs $12-15.
I would rate this product as one of the best one available in market...

Very quick to receive the cables. Much better quality, longer, and much cheaper than in the store even though I had to pay for shipping.
I used this to change my kids TV's into dual purpose computer monitors. Saving desk space and getting rid of those older big computer monitors when they already had a flat panel tv. Also when they want to watch movies via the internet they will already be set-up easier too.

The cable arrived on time and was cheap. The picture looked great for about an hour. After turning the computer back on again for a second go around, I received no picture. I swapped it out with a different VGA and the picture was working again.
Conclusion: Apparently this cable is working for other people. I must be unlucky. I ordered another one from a different amazon seller and I am waiting to try again.

We purchased this cable not knowing that Sony provides a shorter cable as a standard accessory for the LCD television we bought. It is approximately twice the length of the supplied cable and is quite a bit thicker, presumably due to heavier shielding. The extra length allows you to sit a comfortable distance from the TV and the image is very sharp. For the low price, we view this as a very worthwhile investment.
