If you have a high resolution monitor and are using standard cables then you are not getting the best display possible.This Digital video cable is great with a high res monitor because it lets the digital signal pass through it and this gives a crystal clear display that is sharp,colorful and bright.If you are a pc gamer and have a powerful video card and a High resolution monitor then you need this cable to connect the two and get a great display.Customer Review: Works well

This cord worked without a hitch. It gives a nice, clear picture; better than the VGA cord does. The length of it can also be nice if your computer isn't too close to your monitor.
One thing about it is that it may be a little difficult to turn the thumbscrews, but I seem to have that trouble with other cords as well. Be sure to tighten them on your monitor, as they cord can fall out over time otherwise.

The best price I could find locally for this item was $24.99. At less than ten bucks, this connected my computer to my new LED-backlit LCD monitor which looks great. I was using d-sub (VGA) cable before, which did a good job, but I liked the idea of keeping the whole signal path digital without the D-A-D conversions the VGA required. I recently replaced a PC with a Mac laptop. The only video output on a Mac is a DVI-D port; I had been using the DVI-to-analog converter that Apple shipped with my laptop. I notice a pretty good improvement of the picture quality, probably due to the replacing the DVI-to-analog converter and another analog cable with a single cable. If you're considering replacing a DVI-to-analog setup, this cable is well worth the $14.Customer Review: Cheap and it works

Cheap, well built for the price and it works like any other brands.
I don't know why people would pay more for this kinda things.
You don't get anything more than just a cable even if you pay 50 times more money.
They works the same.
The quality might be better on the more expensive brand. But I don't think those prices are justified. It's just a rip off.
