Contrary to another reviewer's description, the cable I received was very sturdy with a high-quality feel to it, as well as being noticeably thicker than the very cheap one I bought a while back as part of a box-o-cables assortment. I tested it by playing a scene from The Golden Compass on Blu-ray (Panasonic 50" 720p plasma and Panasonic Blu-ray player) using the cable I already had. Then I swapped in the new cable and played the same scene. I *think* I could detect a slight improvement in brightness and detail but couldn't swear to it. At any rate, the picture is superb and I don't see how you can beat it for ten bucks.Customer Review: It's an HDMI cable that serves

It's a low priced HDMI cable that works like any other el cheapo I have in use. The ends are gold plated and have nice rubber grips, otherwise, sends digital audio/video in an easy to plug in package. Functions great with my Samsung upconverting DVD player. I'm not sure what different a $30+ cable would make, especially given HDMI is purely digital and loss of signal is unlikely with such a short distance cable.
If you're hesitating, just go for it. Don't go to the big box retailers, given that the cheapest thing they offer is $30 and is probably of the same or worse quality...

Others have given some very exhaustive stats on this cable. What I usually want to know is if it will work or not. I've plugged it into two HDTV's and it has worked fine on both and I can tell no difference from my other cables. I will report back if the cable fails, but for now it works and seems very well constructed. Seems a safe bet.

Customer Review: Terrible HDMI Cable. Stay Away!

The cable that I received was not in any way what I was expecting! For starters the cable doesn't look nearly as nice in person; it feels and looks cheap and poorly made. The cable does not fit securely into the HDMI ports on my TV or PS3. I don't know if the loose connection is affecting the picture or not... but while watching a Blu-ray movie the picture will sometimes distort and I can see color banding and hughes of blue. The sound will also occasionally be off from the actor's lips, kind of like an old kung-fu movie. I then replaced this HDMI cable with another one that I purchased off of Amazon a few months ago for my primary TV and it works perfectly with all of my equipment! So it definitely wasn't my equipment... it was 100% the cable that was defective! I do not recommend this cable to anyone!
