This lower-cost HDMI cable works fine and is manufactured to last. The gold-covered connectors are encased by larger-than-normal oval rubber grips, which makes handling these plugs easier than the conventional square-edged HDMI grips. They are more comfortable to hold and to slide into, and out of, video components.
I tested this HDMI cable against the three existing HDMI cables that I have, and I found no difference in picture or audio quality between them. These tests were done between a Sony 1080p 46-inch LCD television and three components: a Motorola DVR, a Sony BDP-S350 Blu-Ray player, and an older Sony DVD player that is being unconverted into the Sony LCD TV. I also tested this cable from a Toshiba laptop that has an HDMI output jack, and again I found no difference in picture and audio quality between this cable and the existing, and more expensive, HDMI cables that I had previously purchased.
These lower-cost HDMI cables work fine, and they are manufactured to last, and they are made to move easier between video components.

Without getting into many details all I have to say this product offers great value for the price.
I've read many discussions on the web about the importance of a quality HDMI cable. I have also read analysis of the fact that ANY cable does the same thing as all they do is carry ones and zeros.
I compared this to an original SONY cable I got, the reason why I got it was the simple thought that after spending hundreds of dollars in a HDTV system, 60 bucks for the high definition cable should not be of concern. Well, after removing it and connecting this one instead, no difference!
I use it on my PS3 with a 50" HDTV LCD Sony Bravia, the colors and the definition are just great. I have used it for a couple weeks now watching bluray films and playing Metal Gear 4 and Prince of Persia.
Picture quality is stunning, in the end to me, it seems the brand does not make a difference.
Strongly recommended.

i NEVER understood the reason behind the crazy pricing of those "high end" cables.
i own several HDMI cables, including a couple high priced "Monster" cables.
and i can tell you, with all sincerity - i do not see a difference.
i used the weekend to compare the cables using the same HD channel from my cable box or the same movie in my upscaling dvd (sorry, no Blu-ray yet...)
and i saw no change in quality.
i'm sure there are videophiles out there that would say something about that, but as an average user (or maybe one who is a little more demanding) i was very happy with the performance.
bottom line - even though i usually support buying those high quality product and spending a few more dollars, this is not the case.
this cables preforms just as good, and is reasonably priced.

I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this one. We put this cable to the test, recently, setting up a new home theatre system and found that it performed as well as any of the other HDMI cables that we used. If the price is right and, performance is great, why look further.
The old expression, 'you get what you pay for,' is often true, with high-end electronic equipment, so it is great that we have the ability to hook-them-up at a reasonable price, without losing quality. There's no need for costly HDMI cables! Buy these cables and put those extra dollars in that piggy bank.
And, after setting up this new system, I totally bow to the masterminds who moved us away from the snarly, tangled mess of analog audio and visual cables. Oh my...we've come a long way!

Should I buy an HDMI cable? They do improve signal quality on digital devices. I noticed a solid improvement when I bought an HDMI cable to connect between my DVD player and my 1080p television. The signal was crisper, picture and sound sharper.
Which HDMI cable to buy? They're all built to a standard, so probably the most critical issue as long as you get an HDMI cable for digital devices is to think about length. Longer runs will depreciate your signal quality, so measure the distance you need and buy the cable that meets this distance.
I'm well pleased with this cable. It's going between the TV and the Blu Ray player I'm getting the spouse for Christmas. Shhhhhh don't tell!
