I bought 2x 2-packs of these D cells, for a flashlight that takes 4 batteries. Haven't tried them yet though. Took a while to charge them, 3 out of the four took a full charge, and measured 1.4 volts or better. One, only came up to 1.34 volts, which is charged, and good, just doesn't match the other three. Out of the four batteries, one positive terminal is so low, it's more of a flat-top. Another was a little short, but good for the charger. I fixed the flat-top, with a plated, strong magnet, that just happened to be the right height and diameter. The weak battery has been in conditioning mode (drain/charge) for three days, still hasn't started the charge cycle. Either these are good, high capacity batteries, and should last, or the flashing red light is a fault condition...
