Got this CF Card as an interim memory card for the Canon 40D camera [new fast digital camera] planning to use it until a bigger faster one could be located. The camera can take 6.5 pictures per second at 10+megs per picture. Turns out even at full image size this card kept up with the camera great. No problems at all. In fact after some significant research it turns out this card is about twice as fast as most of the 16GB cards currently available, and just as fast as the fastest 8GB cards. I've written/read at 39 MB/sec consistently, using an Addonics SATA-to-CF reader. The transfer rate is being limited by the Addonics device and not the Lexar CF card, I believe. Now part of Crucial/Micron, I'd expect Lexar to continue designing & manufacturing stellar, reliable memory devices.
I don't have a UDMA camera, so I cannot comment on how it may speed up image capture, but I expect it would be fantastic for sports and wildlife photographers. I intend to use the card as a SSD to speed up HD video rendering.

i went looking for a more reliable and larger card than the 133x 4gb sony card i purchased when i bought my 40d, having had a lexar pro 2 gb card and knowing their proven reliablity i went with this card, and man, i couldnt have made a better choice. i shot a whole wedding with this card and never missed a beat. the card was as fast as the camera. even at $169, you cant find a better card. UDMA cards are expensive compared to the next level down -- Lexar Professional and SanDisk Extreme III. The extra cost may be justified for newer cameras with high write speed capabilities and 12+ megapixels, and a UDMA card like the Lexar 300X downloads to your computer perceptibly faster. This CF card definitely delivers on the promise of higher speed, so if that's what you want it's worth the price.Customer Review: Excellent Card

I purchased this card for my Canon 50D and I am very happy with it. The 50D shoots quite fast and this card keeps right up with it. I have shot several thousand photos using this card and it has worked flawlessly every time. If you have a camera that can take advantage of the size and speed, I recommend it heartily.
