Went with Crucial since their RAM products have been most reliable in all my computers. Got prime tech review ratings. This was worth paying a slight premium over second and third tier products. I initially tried a 1GB memory from other company and it worked good, but then I returned it and got this 2GB (2 x 1GB) but it didn't make my PC as fast as previous one. I am not in electronics, but it appears that this card is a 8 bit whereas the old one was 16 bit.Customer Review: Works great

Installed it into an HP Vista machine and brought the total amount of ram to 3GB, had 1GB when I bought it. Vista is a lot more responsive now and only took a couple of minutes to install. I got this product today, 20 min. later and my HP Slimline w/Vista works better than ever. EVERYTHING works WAAAY Better. I have not had this much fun with my games for years. * This will be a simple recommendation as memory really only gets a bad rating if it doesn't work for whatever reason, and this pair works fine for me. Easy install, boot up, and my cheapie backup system (Compaq SR2020NX) "sees" 2 gigs as promised.
