Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Corsair Flash Voyager 16 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive CMFUSB2.0-16GB

Customer Review: Very good Flash.
Summary: 5 Stars

I liked this flash drive so much I bought a second. Much more solid then the type that slides the USB in and out. I also like the soft cushion feel. It definitely is more shock proof then the all plastic models, and I carry this flash drive around a lot, using them as portable backup units.
Owned one for 15 months of daily use and I am very satisfied with this product.

Customer Review: This thing is bullit proof!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have had and used the Corsair Flash Voyager 32 GB USB Flash drive for over 1 year and it has been a wonderful and necessary piece of equipment for me. I have put it through the washer not once but many times and still worked just like new the very next day.

To have a 32gb drive in such a small package, I can literally back up all of my data to this device and it is a mere 3 inches long. Its is plug and play even to older computers. It has a handy slot so you can attach it to a key chain and there is a led light that shows when it is in service. Easy interface to manipulate all your files.

All in all a great value for the price. Buy it, you won't be disappointed!

Customer Review: Good not Great
Summary: 4 Stars

Ok so I use lot's of Flash memory sd mcsd and jump drives, and I test as many I get the chance.
this appears to be a rugged design and is backed by a great warranty, and the fine lines on the warranty look pretty fair as well.
the only gripe I have is it maxes out at 16MBS read and less than 10 write, that is kinda slow for a device that can hold 15 gigs of data."benchmark data"
so I tested real world on win7 Home Premium 64bit I saw similar results with large file, and sub folders.
all in all a good storage device just requires patience and is kinda pricey when I bought it for the write speed.
this is within 1MBs of a Micro SD card, way above SD cards.
and a little better than average Flash Drives I've tested,
San disk, Toshiba TM ,Verbatim SNG and ,Kingston 2 different series and also the ancient Verbatim FlashDisc.

Customer Review: corsair flash voyager for win 98
Summary: 3 Stars

you should not buy this item if you have Win 98 as it requires a special driver. The product ad did not warn the buyer of this requirement. With some difficulty the special driver can be downloaded on the web where it it is obvious this requirement is needed.

Customer Review: Great disappointment
Summary: 1 Stars

I received the 64GB flash drive two days ago, and I am returning it today. It has given me problems right from the start. I was able to put about 15GB of data on the drive, but it seemed very sluggish when copying the data and playing back small video files. I have had many small and large size flash drives, but none has given me any problems like the Corsair flash drive has. Yesterday my computer did not consistently detect the flash drive, gave me error messages for perfectly common file types like wmv and sometimes crashed. Today there was absolutely nothing I could do with the drive. I could neither add nor erase data, nor format the drive. It said that the drive was write-protected. I checked online in the Corsair forum and found that this write-protect error seemed quite common, and that the technician responding to such complaints said that Corsair would be willing to replace the drive when that happened. I don't think I want to have a piece of equipment that problematic replaced. I bought the Corsair flash drive because the price was right and the reviews were uniformly positive on Amazon. The reviews are kind of misleading, though, because they also or mostly refer to smaller size Corsair flash drives, which might indeed be good. But I can say for sure that the 64GB drive is not.
