I purchased the flash drive to replace my other drive which only had 2GB. I use it for work (I am an IT engineer at a major TV network in NY)and for personal projects too..in particular it is handy for delivering large photo files and text changes to my book designer, as I am also an author and publisher. I have only one complaint: and that is the rubber cap kept coming off and now the cap is gone, so that's not a great design as the drive hangs around my neck most of the time, and I'm concerned about static discharge, but drive works great even with the missing cap.Customer Review: The Best Portable Storage

Getting extra end covers is suggested. A slightly longer extension cord would be nice.
Finally, there is a reason the 8 GB model is generally out of stock (popularity).

I've owned the 4 GB Corsair for several months, and have been very please with its speed, reliability, and durability. The cap does come off quite easily, and I actually lost it a few weeks ago, but I replaced the cap with a very inexpensive generic flash drive cap that works fine.
I've used several different USB flash drives over the years, including ones made by Memorex, PNY, and now this brand. By far, the Corsair is the fastest and easiest to use. I will be sticking to this brand from now on.

Customer Review: Just what I was looking for and needed!

This slim little memory stick worked perfect for what I needed it for. I was looking to rebuild my computer and didn't want to lose any of my documents, movies, or songs so put them on this little baby and they all survived the rebuilding.
The rubber cover over the USB pins didn't stay on worth anything, but the necklace holder was nice. I also didn't use the encription program that came on the drive, but I can see that it would be helpful if I needed to move things and didn't want them stoen if I lost the stick.

The Corsair thumb drives work great. I highly recommend them to anyone, the speed is decent and having 8 gigs in your pocket is very nice. I have a 16 gig also which was missing for a few months, being in the IT field having a thumb drive really makes life easier. Not even 2 weeks after i bought the 8 gig i found the 16 gig, It was in a pocket of a pair of pants that was washed and dried. All of my info was still on it. That is the 3rd time it got washed and it still works. Hopefully the 8 gig can handle a washing also =)
