It was like learning to sim-fly all over again, though I must admit that flying with rudder pedals is much better than a twisty stick. A coordinated turn is a thing of beauty now. This purchase is second only to TIR4 in terms of boosting my sim enjoyment, maybe even tied with force feedback joystick. I've had no problems with the CH pedals whatsoever with the various flight sims I have (about 3 weeks now), but did not install the management software -- it requires that you have ALL CH products. The pedals should work if you just plug in the USB and in-game choose them as rudder control...Customer Review: great addition to yoke

the usb pedals are a great addition to the flightsim yoke to make flying the sim more realistic. I use the simulator for instument procedures and proficiency and it is very close to the ELITE official simulators that prepare you for real-world flying but for a lower price. but they are very sensitive mechanically, so you have to adjust sensibility in your flightsim-software. materials are sturdy. very satisfied with CH Products. Cockpit accessories like approach plate holders, stopwatches etc. even fit on the yoke. next purchase will be the throttle quadrant from CH.Customer Review: Another Satisfied Customer

These pedals add much more than realism to Flight Simulator... they add control. When you're on final, and you're trying to stay established on the localizer with a cross wind, you need to be able to correct course without banking the wings, and the rudder pedals accomplish this flawlessly. Unlike a joystick with a twist axis, these rudders require a lot more motion to yaw the aircraft. You need this feature because twisting the sensitive joystick often over-corrects and then you're on the other side of the localizer. I just bought these to help me get a more realistic feel in MS Flight Simulator 2k4 and Pacific Fighters. Haven't tried in MFFS yet, but they work great in Pacific Fighters. It totally changes the way the game plays and adds a new dimension to the sim. As for the physical product itself, they feel pretty solid, the movement is smooth and the toe brakes work very well. They come with a set of chocks to lock the rudder movement so you can use the toe brake movement with driving games, but I haven't tried those and probably won't. These Pedals give you real Bang for the Buck. They operate smoothly, are easy to set up and give you the REAL FEEL for your flight sim experence.
Even though the pedals are made from plastic they DO NOT feel flimsy.
I did have a problem with the pedals sliding around on the rug, I used some double sided tape and applied a piece of anti skid shelf liner, (used in travel trailers & available at Wal-Mart) which solved the problem. I have used these pedals with FS 2004 and FSX and as a private pilot I can say that it flys like the real thing.
