Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of CH Products Pro Pedals USB Flight Simulator Pedals ( 300-111 )

Customer Review: Save your money!
Summary: 1 Stars

This is a cool idea, but the execution just isn't there for flight simulation. Unlike the CH Products Yoke - which is really very good - there is very little that feels like real rudder pedals in an airplane. Control inputs tend to overact, sending you all over the sky, and you start spending your time trying to manage the pedals, not the simulator. As much as I'd like to have rudder pedals in my simulator setup, it just isn't worth the trouble. Most sims don't effectively emulate the precession and torque of a single engine prop anyway, so why bother?

Customer Review: Simply plug and play
Summary: 5 Stars

I received the CH Rudder Pedals for Christmas 2005, and I am using them MS Flight Sim 2004. The rudder pedals are very easy to install and configure. They are very durable and "very" sensative. I especially like the toe brakes and the ability to perform tight taxi turns with the pedals. There's nothing like being too high for an approach and being able to deliver hard left rudder and full right stick to slip the plane into a proper approach. To me, flight simulation without rudder pedals is like living in a two-dimensional flying world.

Customer Review: Nice and easy

After buying the new FSX I decided to treat myself to these Pedals to get the most out of the sim.

Straight out of the box they look good and feel sturdy. Mine are placed on the lowest wooden shelf of my PC desk so the rubber feet are handy as they stop the pedals slipping.

Plugged them into my PC and they were instantly recognised by Windows XP and ready to use. Upon opening FSX they were again ready to use without me having to play around with any of the control options.

Well recommended.

Customer Review: Xplane9 sim / HP single/Multi pre-training
Summary: 5 Stars

Items appear to work as promised. The pedal motions are similar to those expected in an actual aircraft. There are no true force feedback actions, but this is expected in controls used for a PC style simulator. The unit is used as a rudder control for flight simulation in a high performance aircraft for approach and engine out training and service its purpose, so far.

It is used with the Xplane 9 system on a MacBook Pro coupled with a FreeBSD 7 based slave system. No problems to date. Works as promised.

Customer Review: Close to the real thing
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this product after starting to take flying lessons in a tail-wheel aircraft. I was looking for a way to practice the "rudder dance" with out having to spend a lot of money. The pedals felt similar to the pedals in the plane I am taking lessons in. I am using it with Microsoft flight simulator and it works well with the sim. You will have to adjust the sensitivity settings for your own preference. I recommend this product for anyone looking for a more realistic experience when "flying" on your computer.
