This item was given as a gift to my son. I was really worried about how he would react to this product, because he is already a pilot in real life. I wasn't sure if it would compare very well with the real thing. However, I have received thanks for it twice now since it was given. He stated, " that it helps his flight simulator be most realistic, because it gives him more hand and eye simulation as in a real plane. I was also worried about quality of product, but he has been quite pleased with it.Customer Review: My son is in heaven!

Ordered this for my 10 year old for XMAS. It was his request and the #1 item on his wish list. He was picky about what he wanted in his "yoke" and this really made him happy. Very good that it has some clamps that are on the bottom that you can fasten to your desk, etc. that allow for the unit to be solid when the operator pulls back on the yoke. The reviews seem to indicate that this model is very well liked and I have heard that some actual pilots use this game toy to practice.Customer Review: Not bad, but...

Very nice yoke indeed. I fly Cessnas, so I do have a small complaint. The trim wheel is on the left of the yoke, in the cessna it's on the right. I'd prefer they at least put the trim wheel in the right place and possibly create some actual push/pull throttle and mixture controls.The action on this yoke is fairly well. Much better experience than using a joystick, especially better than a joystick with built in rudder that always twists when you go left/right.

Overall, this is an excellent product. I read everyone's issues about the 'cheap feel' to the plastic switches. After getting the product, I didn't expect much more than I got for the money. With 3000 hours in various real aircraft, this is as close as it gets for making a desktop computer feel like the real thing.
One note: if you have any desire to use the helicopters that come with Flight Simulator X, you will still need a joystick with rudder control.

This Yoke is somewhat realistic in how it feels, even though it could use about 30 degrees more in it's ability to rotate. I'm curious about longer term durability because they are just molded plastic. The installation was easy, no outside drivers are required.
The only issue is that the clamps to attach the yoke to your desk don't close far enough, so I have to use a 3/4" spacer to make it secure. Otherwise, it would never even come close to holding the desk.
