Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of CH Products Flight Sim Yoke USB ( 200-615 )Customer Review: Finally, almost flying Summary: 5 Stars
After years of "flying" in various Flightsims, I sprung for the
CH Flight sim Yoke and Pedals to get away from my forcefeedback
joystick. What a revelation! No more "slamdunk" landings using
computer coordinated rudder.
I actually worked up a sweat "flying" with these upgrades. Had no idea what I had been missing all these years.
If you're still using a joystick (of ANY kind) just junk it or
give it to the neighbors kid. This is as close to the "real"
thing as you can get and still be on the ground at home.
Customer Review: Worthy upgrade Summary: 4 Stars
Upgrading from a joystick to this yoke made such a huge difference that I was smiling from ear to ear the first time I used it - it just feels so much more realistic.
4 stars instead of 5 because the table clamps are too wide apart for clamping onto my 15mm thick Ikea desk. I stuck some rubber grips to the underside of the unit and that seems to have mostly solved the problem, although pulling too hard on the yoke occasionally dislodges it.
(A handy tip: If you are sitting on a chair with wheels, and try to use this yoke, you will lose control.)
Customer Review: Excellent Product Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this USB unit for my son, along with the CH Pro pedals, and he says they are excellent and do a pretty good job compared to what he experiences in real life with my Piper Tomahawk when we go flying for real.
My analogue type CH pedals, bought about 10 years ago, are still working well too, so I know these products will last. I naturally prefer the real thing but the sims are getting better as are the computers to use them with, all at much less cost. They will also cut your training time if you're serious about flying for real. Amazon's service was excellent too.
Customer Review: It's the only way to fly Summary: 5 Stars
After fighting FS2004 and FSX with my Saitek x45 for more than 2 years, I finally broke down and bought the CH Yoke and Pedals. Now I wonder how I ever managed without them. Controlling is so much more realistic and easy. After a few minutes of flying around, I am nailing turns without losing altitude, shooting great landings and just enjoying the crap out of myself. Both units work flawlessly and were set up in about 3 minutes. If you're running XP, don't bother with the drivers. Just go into FSX and set you sensitivities and map/remap your buttons. Highly recommended.
Customer Review: Great for Microsoft Flight Sim 2006 Summary: 5 Stars
I bought the CH Yoke and Rudder pedals for use with Microsoft Flight Sim 2006. Its great for instrument flying training. They were easy to setup and calibrate. Unfortunately I had to buy them from another store because Amazon does not offer these to buyers who reside in Australia, but that's ok its there loss.
I'd recommend these to those people who want to understand flight or are serious about learning to fly aircraft. Simulator training at home is excellent. I would buy both the Yoke and the Rudder Pedals together and not just the Yoke separately.
