Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of CH Products Flight Sim Yoke USB ( 200-615 )Customer Review: Excellent Yoke Summary: 5 Stars
I am learning to fly on a Cessna 172 and am using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 as an adjunct. I have found the simulator actually more difficult to fly than the real Cessna. The CH USB Flight Sim Yoke goes a long way towards solving this problem and making the simulator more closely mimic reality. I have not encountered problems others have mentioned such as the controls failing to neutral and the yoke being difficult to clamp to my desk. I find the trim wheel is too stiff but perhaps that is a problem unique to the particular yoke I bought. In any event, this yoke is well worth the purchase price.
Customer Review: A Flight Simmer's Review, age 14 Summary: 5 Stars
This is an amazing product. It has 5 axes of control, allowing you to fly any way you want. You can control the throttle, propeller, mixture, ailerons, and pitch all at the same time. I love the way it has a miniature throttle quadrant right on it. This product works great with other CH products, but even alone, it is phenomenal. All of the controls are customizable. I use this with Microsoft Flight Simulator X Deluxe, and it works great, right out of the box. You don't even need to set all the controls, but if you want to, it is incredibly easy. I strongly recommend this for all flight simmers.
Customer Review: CH Flight Products- Yoke and Pedals Summary: 5 Stars
After getting the yoke and flight pedals, controlling sim aircraft is much easier than with a joystick. Although a joystick with the CH Pro Rudders for helicopters is great as well. The increased tension of the yoke pushing and pulling adds to my percieved realism. I also like the variety of swithes, rockers and the hat, giving more sim control from the yoke. I am not an actual pilot, virtual only, so this is just my perspective. Also, the first yoke that was sent, the hat did not work properly. Amazon shipped me another, which arrived quickly. Amazon provided excellent customer service.
Customer Review: Excellent Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this for myself as an anniversary present. I was kinda skeptical about it but thought that anything had to be better than a joystick. It is much bigger than I expected and installation was a breeze. My calibration was off but that was easy to fix. I use this for FS2004 and it makes a world of difference. I hit Fly Now to try it out before I realized the night time flight was set. Even at night this was a breeze to use. I made my first landing ever without wabbling on the final approach. I've only been playing FS2004 for 5 days. I'm getting the Foot Pedals for Christmas...
Customer Review: Decent for the price... Summary: 3 Stars
The good: Easy to use, easy to set up. It was out of the box and "in the air" in less than 10 minutes. Clamps in tight and doesn't come loose, which would really stink while trying to flare after a long flight. Ouch!
The Not-So-Good: The inner springs make noise as you turn giving it a cheap feel. I found the yoke doesn't rest back to the same spot every time, either. My $20 joystick use to "normalize" better than the CH Yoke.
All in all, it's the best deal out there. I'm wondering if I shouldn't have spent the extra few bucks on the Saitek, though.
