I was very happy with an older CH flightstick which had rudder control but I finally wore it out. The new CH Products Fighterstick USB is heavy and well made and had excellent reviews. However the stick diameter was a little too large for my hand. The hand rest is way too small. I returned this stick because it had no rudder control and I just cannot fly without a rudder, especially during landings and events like picking someone up off of a train or for aerial combat. For an extra $100 you can order a foot activated rudder from CH but the combined $200 for a flight stick and rudder was just too much for me. I went back to my old Logitech Wingman Extreme (which I was very happy with) after disassembling it and lubricating the rudder pot.Customer Review: A great joystick.

You don't always get what you pay for, but you do with this joystick. Wow! This is the quality that I have been searching for. Thrustmaster used to make stuff almost this good. For me the old TM WCS2 and F4 were a killer combo I didn't think would ever be replaced, but I honestly don't believe it could have possibly been done any better then this. I got the fighter stick and the Pro Throttle USB and I am extremely happy with both. I guess I should toss out my old CH pedals and buy some new ones as well, but it's a shame since they still work fine. It's one of the few game accessory I have ever bought, that actually became obsolete before it broke.Customer Review: CH Products Fighterstick USB

I bought this to compare with my Thrustmaster Cougar. I use it with the USB Pro Pedals and USB Pro Throttle as a HOTAS.It is a very accurate low noise joystick. I have used it with all sorts of flight simulations. Easy to program and once you understand how to make it appear as one virtual flight controller it works like a charm with Longbow II and other older flight sims. I just wish the software would allow me to swap in my MSFF2 joystick for those older sims where forcefeedback makes a big difference such as RedBaron 3D. Getting back to the subject, the CH Products Fighterstick USB is high quality and you cannot go wrong with buying one.Customer Review: Very nice stick

If you cannot afford the Cougar, this is the next best HOTAS. I really have to make a correction to a posted review earlier by CeeTee. CeeTee stated that the stick was not realistic, because the F-16 has the stick between the legs. If you leanred this from playing LOMAC, then you might want to try something a little more realistic. The Viper has always had a fly-by-wire side stick design. When the first prototype was designed in 1974, it had the sidestick design. Back at that time, the Viper was nicknamed, the computer jet. Just thought I would staighten this out so someone doesn't get the wrong information.Customer Review: Well Worth the Price

I've had a gameport CH HOTAS with same 'stick, Prothrottle and rudder pedals for years and it was easy to map the buttons and the devices are still going strong after years of yankin' and bankin' in Red Baron3d (by comparison I broke two Logitech sticks in a row before I found CH products. They worked great but didn't hold up like the Fighterstick rig). I was forced into USB by the march of technology and a new flight sim called OFF that runs on XP. I haven't had time to dope out the mapping software yet but the stick itself is exactly like my beloved analog one, so I'm sure I'll love it. LE~Heureux
