I purchased one of these about a year ago. No problems yet. I HATE the USB ports on my pc box as they are too few and WAY too close together! My fat fingers have trouble getting in between the cables sticking out of the back of my pc so inline USB ports are more hassle than they are worth. Unfortunately, I have multiple peripheral devices that I need to plug in to USB ports and it's time consuming and annoying to have to stop everything you are doing to shut down each piece, wait for the OK to unplug, fumble around the cables in the back of my pc to find the correct cable, slide my fat fingers in between those numerous cables, unplug a device, try to plug in new device, try the cable the other way because it won't fit, plug it in the correct way, wait for the device to be acknowledged, wait for it to open up and then finally get to use it, only to have to go back through that whole process again to plug the original peripheral back in. 2 birds with one stone. Multiple devices that are ALWAYS plugged in and recognized and if you DO need to swap one out, the ports aren't so close together that you need a childs hands to do the job. LOVE this product!!
