Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Cables To Go 35508 iPod-Compatible 3.5 mm to Dock Connector Audio Cable (4 Feet)Customer Review: Doesn't work with Ipod Touch Unless Your Good at Soldering Summary: 3 Stars
Bought this without looking at many of the other reviews otherwise I would have seen it doesn't work with the Ipod touches. So now I have this cable and I took the casing off the end and found that if you "connect pin 11 to pins 15/16, then
connect that to pin 21 with a 68kOhm resistor it will use the audio line out. This is because the device needs to be told to redirect the signal to the Line Out pins rather than to the built-in speaker."-Got that from pinouts.ru
I'm pretty good at soldering but the small pins on this look pretty challenging.
Customer Review: Easy to Use, Great Sound Summary: 5 Stars
This cord does exactly what it promises - it easily connects your iPod to your car's AUX input and delivers quality sound for a low price. My iPod (5th Gen) sounds just as good on my car radio using this cord as it does in its dock at home or through the headphones when I'm walking.
This is the second of these cords that I've owned. The first cord I broke - it was my fault, not a product defect at all. I slammed the console on the cord one too many times. I'm more careful now to make sure the cord is completely in the console before closing it.
Customer Review: IPod sounds better Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this to hook my 8 gig ITouch up to my MINI Cooper Aux. I had been using a cable from the headphone jack to the aux in the car. That was OK, but this cable really broadened the whole sound of the music, from Zuckerman performing Vivaldi to Steve Earl on Jerusalem, from KD Lang to Neil Young, from Black Eyed Peas to Stevie Wonder.
Only problem is that it's white. Too visible in a black interior car. The high visiblity can tell peering eyes there is an Ipod in the car if you leave it plugged in. (The cable, not the IPod)
Customer Review: Great until it stops working Summary: 2 Stars
I have now had two of these and both have broken within a year of use. By broken I mean stops transmitting sound to half the speakers in the car. Both of these that I have owned stopped sending to the passenger side of the car. Tried it in different cars, adjusting the fade and the balance and nope it stops sending to the passenger side. I like the cable better than the standard headphone jacks but after this second one I am not buying another one. Save your money and buy a cheapo headphone jack style cable.
Customer Review: Thank you!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I just bought a car and while searching, as lame as it may be, one of my 'must haves' was an ipod adapter. The car I bought had a plug in in the center console. I knew what I needed to purchase but I was getting scared when I couldn't find the product at best buy or circut city. I was a little skepticle also by how cheap the product was but when I got it just last week and plugged it in it did exactly what I wanted and sounded ALOT better than the previous cassette adapter I was using. Great product!!!
