Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Cables To Go 35508 iPod-Compatible 3.5 mm to Dock Connector Audio Cable (4 Feet)Customer Review: Must Have For Cars With 3.5mm Aux Port Summary: 5 Stars
This cable has to be one of the best purchases I've made for my iPod. The sound quality improvement over a plain 3.5mm-3.5mm cable is almost night and day. Absolutely a must have for anyone that has a 3.5mm auxiliary plug in their car. The cable feels like it is high quality, and the dock connector fits snugly in the device.
Like most have noted, the volume control on the iPod is disabled when using this, which I find to be an advantage. I no longer have to remember to turn down the volume before changing from the car to headphones, which caught me quite a few times.
Customer Review: Great solution to technical difficuties Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this cable because the headphone Jack on my iPod broke. I didn't want to take it to a repairman who may not know what to do, and I didn't want to replace it so soon. So I looked for any cheap alternative, and I came across this. I saw iPod dock connector to 3.5mm jack, and I thought that I could do something with that. So I run the 3.5mm jack into a female-to-female into headphones, and it works perfectly. The only downside is that it doesn't respond to the volume on your iPod, but a necessary sacrifice, and the preset volume is perfect. Not to loud and not to soft. Perfect.
Customer Review: Aux Cable Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this hoping that I could use this on the radio as well as my car, but I realized that my radio does not have an auxiliary hole, only a headphone hole. So I only got half of what I wanted. When I play it in the car, I can adjust the volume pretty well. I'm not sure, but I noticed the volume going up when the car is driving fast, but when the car slows down, the volume lowers. I'm not sure if it was my car or the cable. But it has been useful, I rarely used it though. I have had this for about 2 weeks. Also, the deliver was quite quick and came in about 3 days.
Customer Review: Works great in the car! Summary: 5 Stars
This cable is fantastic! Is compatible with my 5G iPod with video. I was previously using a Belkin transmitter that came from the Apple store - cost about $70 and worked well. Downside of using the transmitter is while traveling I'd have to change the station several times due to static. With the auxiliary cable I have clear sound at all times, plus I've noticed improved sound quality/louder volume. Downside to this cable is that it doesn't charge the iPod, as many others have said, but that makes sense considering that it doesn't plug into the power outlet...
Customer Review: Why was is so hard to find?? Summary: 5 Stars
I have been looking from store to store for this cable. Everyone I spoke to all said " Its not available! They haven't market it yet " Well finally I decided to take matters on my own, and browsed through Amazon.com and there it was! I like this dock connector, and the advantage is that you adjust the volume completely from your radio, versus balance volume from Ipod and radio. The only downfall is, it only comes in 4 ft length. My personal need is really just 1 ft. Waste of cable. Say let me know if a 1 ft is available, I will buy it.
Thank You
