Customer Review: Works, But Barely Fits

My Lenovo T61 laptop (14.1 inch screen) has a 6-cell battery that juts out at the back. I was skeptical that this case would fit but based on another Lenovo owner's review and the item's specifications, I decided to get this anyway in December 2010. I had purchased a computer tote, but I thought the padding wasn't enough and that more protection from the elements would be needed.
My laptop specifications are 13 1/8" l by 9 1/2" w (but actually 10.5" with the battery attachment that I never remove) by 1 1/4" d.
I thought the Built sleeve designs were more interesting than most others offered via Amazon too. I received the dotted version and it was nice. However, getting the sleeve to fit around my laptop is more of a struggle than I expected. Luckily, there are some ridges on the sides where you can place your fingers to help with the grip. There are two zipper pulls. Yet I'm worried that the case will be for naught because the laptop might fly off the table (with the case partially on) while I'm trying to fit it.
I could have returned it, but I decided that it does provide more padding & weather protection; it's stylish; and fits just barely. I'll just try to be careful.
