Customer Review: High Yield? Maybe. Higher than Brother's? Not so sure.

These toners seem to be giving me great output, but for some reason, I don't believe I'm getting the same output I did with the other toners purchased from Brother. I'm replacing them a little more often than I did before. Since I haven't actually counted the copies coming out of the printer and since there are too many factors involved wit how much toner is used during any single print cycle, I gave it 4-stars. Not five though, as I believe-even taking my passive use of the toner into consideration-that there is a little less toner than the previous ones, as I normally print the same type of e-books and web pages. And since it's black-and-white toner, the usage of toner can be gauged more closely than if you were printing pages in color. However, a purchaser is going to be much more biased when purchasing a "compatible" product than if they were purchasing a product direct form the manufacturer. So, unlike other normal people, I'm having a slight bit of anxiety trying to figure out how much of that purchaser bias is coming into play. I may change the rating to 5 after my cup of coffee, when life seems a little fairer. All things considered, I will still highly recommend this toner cartridge, as the price you'll pay for this particular unit, from this particular seller, is dramatically lower than the ridiculous (in my opinion) price Brother charges for their own replacement cartridges. I understand we live in a capitalist nation, and I like my green too, but throw us a bone Brother!
I've purchased from this manufacturer/seller before, and I plan on doing so, again, in the future. One other note: I don't remember if it was a posting here or for my purchase from Brother the first time around, that the poster gave a tip about covering the right side of the "window" on the toner (where the printer shines a laser in order to gauge the toner level) with a little piece of duct tape and then using a black sharpie to color the duct tape in order to trick the toner into using up the remaining ink in the cartridge when the level gets low (your copies will show lines and little dots when it's practically ALL used up. Seriously, this time). But, I definitely appreciated that advice, as it has ended up saving me even more money.
