Customer Review: Not much toner

This is the 1st toner refill I have had to purchase for our Laser Fax machine. The original toner cartridge included with the Laser Fax stated it was a starter cartridge and good for about 1,000 pages. Well it lasted for over 2,500 pages before the print was starting to fade which I thought was pretty good for a starter cartridge.
The new cartridge is supposed to be a high yield cartridge. I noticed that the two cartridges seemed to weigh about the same. I weighed them on a certified butcher scale and the new high yield cartridge weighed only 4oz. more than the empty starter cartridge. This does not seem to be very much toner. I wrote to Brother and they failed to respond to my inquiry. I will have to see how many pages I get out of this cartridge.
Would be interested to know if any one else has done a weight comparison between their used and their new cartridge.

Lately I had been getting some black smudges on printed sheets. After going through the manual it seemed cleaning the corona wires might do the trick (it did). However after putting everything back together I got the dreaded TONER LIFE END for all 3 of the color cartridges (yellow, cyan, magenta). I knew they were not empty since it worked fine yesterday and the printer says only about 1900 total pages have gone through the printer with 1600+ in color. I bought new carts but before putting them in looked for a way to reset the counters to get a little more out of the current ones I KNOW are not empty. After much searching and tips that didn't work I found one that did at [...] displaying-toner-life-end/. No more TONER LIFE END messages (which when you get it, nothing will print). The link talks about the HL-4050 model but I am using an HL-4070CDW and it worked. Hope this helps others.Customer Review: Brother Toner

This is the OEM High Yield toner for some Brother printers. Do not buy refurbished or re-filled toners from other sources. Don't be tempted to save a few dollars with these inferior toners. Print quality and toner life are not the same, not to mention possible printer damage. Don't be too quick to replace your OEM toners when the printer tells you to. These toners use a timing wheel that count down based on the number of pages printed, not the amount of toner left in the cartridge. There are many articles on the web on how to reset the cartridges. Do a google search on Brother Toner Reset to find an article for your printer.Customer Review: Satisfied!

I used to buy the low yield version of this cartridge (TN 110 BK) from Staples at over $70 and it used to run out so fast. I finally found this cartridge on Amazon for a price less than the low yield one! Unbelievable! Had to call customer service to find out if it will work for my MF 9840 CDW, since my machine was not listed. Customer service had no clue! Bummer! Had to go to the Brother site and found out they are compatible. Took a risk and ordered 2. It finally arrived today and I couldn't be happier. I purchased a Brother MFC-9840CDW last year from Amazon and I'm now in need of replacement cartridges.
The printer comes with standard toner cartridges.
I've printed 912 color pages and 996 black & white pages.
The standard toner cartridges didn't last anywhere near the expected output of the cartridge which is supposed to be Black (2,500 pages), Cyan (1,500 pages), Magenta (1,500 pages), and Yellow (1,500 pages). The biggest disappointment is the black toner cartridge because it 1,500 pages short of the expected output.
