Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Brother PT-1750 Electronic Labeling System

Customer Review: Good multi-use labeller
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of the best P-touch labellers I've used. The (pseudo) QUERTY keyboard makes it wasy to input text. Functions are clearly labelled and easy to reference without a manual. Five size and multi-line text and 9 memory locations to save frequent printed labels. Also quick access to change tapes on the top.

The Amazon price is great as well. You won't be disappointed!

Customer Review: font size stuck ridiculously small
Summary: 1 Stars

Mine worked pretty well for about the first 50 labels that I made. Then the font size got stuck ridiculously small so that the message only covers about 10 percent of the tape surface. If you want really small labels with a hard-to-read font size, you could use my PT-1750 to print them out and then cut down with scissors to eliminate all of the wasted label area.

Customer Review: Wasted Tape Problem
Summary: 1 Stars

The Brother P-Touch is designed to waste tape. The "narrow margin" mode still wastes almost an inch of tape for every label. The tapes cost an arm and a leg.

The P-touch also wastes your time with an ad on the display every time you turn it on.

I can't recommend this product. It's useful, but it's annoying and expensive to use.

Customer Review: Nice, but...
Summary: 3 Stars

I really like everything about it, except one big thing. It wastes a lot of blank label with each print. The replacement labels are costly and it leaves me wondering if Brother designed it that way to boost sales of replacement label cartridges. I am always cutting off the excess and wondering how much money is going down the drain each time.

Customer Review: Poor quality control
Summary: 2 Stars

The machine works great when it works. Unfortunately, I have had two models that needed repair - sigh. The first time the print head died. The second time the cutter was defective. Brother needs to a better job on their quality control. Also, I agree with others about too much wasted tape - a real scam since you need their expensive tapes.
