I have a Motorola GPS that comes with a window mount that turns out to be useless for my Toyota Venza. The Bracketron Nav-Pack is ideal in that I can place it on my dash board or console. The pack has enough weight combined with the rubber base to hold in place. I have not used it with a rental car but I don't anticipate any problems or have concern with placing the weighted pack in my carry on luggage. It works for me and should for you.Customer Review: Pat

This Dash Mount is a great Mount if you have the proper place to place it on your dash. We did not have that so it bounced and was crooked most of the time. We returned this and did order a similar mount that we had before. This does not reflect on the actual product but rather on the function given where we had to place it. Our GPS and Mount were stolen and we had to replace all of it so we tried new products.Customer Review: Poor inspection dept.

The missing 'snap' that holds the case open, is an example of todays companies that care more about quanity, tnan quality. The case is good to store your gps in, but it can't be used to display the gps during travel if the 'snap' is missing. I thought I could get a shoe repair shop to install a 'snap' for me, only to find out, shoe repair shops are as hard to find as a company that puts quality ahead of quanity.Customer Review: The sweetest solution ever!

This works very well. We have an area on the dash not totally level, but close and this holder acts like it is glued there. Extra room in it to coil the extra power cord cleans up the mess of cords. Fold it over and put in the console and it is "invisible" and leaves no trace. You will really like this one. I tried 2 others before this one and they did not work well at all. This dash mount/carry case is very useful, especially when using your GPS during trips to new locations. It allows you to use your GPS in rental vehicles and have a protective case to store it in. Two improvements would be useful, 1) either a bit larger to accomodate the power cord or have an external storage pocket. 2) a belt clip or handle and attachment point for a carry strap.
