Customer Review: sound great when they don't have interference from everything

These speakers really do sound nice for the footprint, the power unit is rather large but manageable. The problem is they pick up interference from wireless devices which is very loud and annoying. So if you don't have any wireless devices they're great, otherwise... and who doesn't have wireless devices. I only turn them on when i'm going to listen to something i need to, even then it's a crunch, crunch buzz. I can't recommend these and am looking for something else. Will prob buy local so I can easily return junk like these. Oh yea, manufacturer is no help, warranty worthless. These speakers are very well built. The rubber backing give them good insulation and protection. Excellent, pure sound on the highs and lows. (Disclaimer - If you are one of these people who like the fake bass pumped through so that your drywall cracks, you won't like these.)
They are very sensitive to interference, (i.e. - monitors, routers, etc) so keep them several feet away if possible.
Nice professional design, excellent sound, can't beat them for the price. Right on par with the Bose Companion 2. I tried both and they both sound the same to me. Took the Bose back to save money.

I purchased two of these and they both are a disappointment. They are easy to use and attach but that's about their best attribute. The sound quality is good but these are low volume speakers. For the money there are a lot of better options available. Do Not let the bulky power supply fool you. I own speakers nearly the same size with a much smaller power supply that are twice as loud as these. If you are looking for any Bass/Thump these speakers are not for you.
Over all I would say these are $20.00 speakers and I would not recommend them to a friend.
Customer Review: Surprisingly Rich Sound Out of the Box & Packaging!

I was almost ready to return the product after experiencing high levels of distortion at moderate volumes. It turned out to be caused by the plastic packaging on the speakers resonating with the audio beats! The distortion disappeared after I removed the plastic covers from the speakers.
To my amazement, I discovered that the speakers offer a rich, deep, and soulful sound. Even more amazing is the amplification the system provides. The speakers work flawlessly with my Mac Mini. I believe I have selected an excellent value.

The sound is a little better than average speaker but nothing special at all. The power brick people talk of is the size and weight of two bricks. Don't be fooled by the pictures showing it a lot smaller than it is. And if going to travel with laptop good luck with the extra weight. Not bad if just using at desk and the brick is hidden and you don't want a sub taking up space and you don't want a lot of bass. If you want so-so speakers than these are the ones. I would at least get them with the sub and they might sound better.
