Customer Review: Works perfect with iPhone

iPhone users, beware, no bluetooth headsets work for music due to the iphone software. I returned two pair of bluetooth headsets before realizing, by reading chats, that you can not listen to music via bluetooth on the iphone. The phone portion works just fine. For some strange reason, apple has not corrected this programming problem. My guess is that they may seek to develop their own bluetooth headset, but don't want all of its existing iphone users to already have purchased an existing product. Okay, call me cynical. I bought these bose on-ear headphones instead and even though they are wired, they sound absolutely fantastic. Actually, we have the original over ear quiet comfort, but the headphones sound even better. The bose noise cancelling is amazing, which is very important for a NYC commuter. NOTE: These now come with phone capability, which worked beautifully!! I bought them at the apple store for $199.Customer Review: Excellent clarity but something is missing.

I bought these headphones and was somewhat disappointed. I'm not a huge audiophile by any means (in terms of knowledge) but I have good ears. To me these headphones were very clear and had good sound but it made the music seems somewhat artificial. It's hard to explain but I was not feeling the warmth of the music, it's like the bose put too much emphasis on clarity and it takes away some naturalness.
Headphones i can recommend however are:
Sennheiser HD600
and
Sennheiser PX 100
I know the bose are somewhere in between the price of those two i listed -- it's best to do some research on head-fi or the net if you're considering buying these.
If you're someone that's not too picky you'll probably enjoy they as they have clear sound.

When I first got these headphones, I LOVED them! They were so comfortable and the ear cups were exceptionally comfortable.
Within the first few months, the cord was already causing the sound to break up. Cheap cord, in other words. I had to replace it. I've had them about a year now. The wonderful ear cups are beginning to peel and fall apart! It appears that they are made of a fabric with a rubbery, vinyl type coating that flakes and peels over time. Each day, I am covered in black flakes from these headphones.
Yes, the sound is still superior, but the rate at which they are breaking down has really angered me. I do use them virtually every day, to be fair, however it seems that for the price they should have held up better than they have!

I bought the mobile version of these. THe only difference is that they have a different cord that contains a microphone for your cell phone which I must say is awesome!! Only $20 more than these (199) and you get great sound from your iphone or other multimedia cell phone and can take calls!
A lot of people say you can get better but they are often speaking of even more expensive headphones that need seperate amps. These phones sound excellent! Tight bass and crisp highs. DOnt take my word for it... go to the store and try out the display set!!! Once you do you'll fall in love like I did and nothing will ever sound the same again. Try em out!

It's not that they're terrible -- They're not. They're just not worth $180.00. I guess it depends how picky you are on sound. These headphones offer a nice clean regular sound. Better than your run of the mill phones, but the problem is they just sound generic. There's nothing special to warrant the price tag. Do your self a favor... Buy some Koss Porta Pros -- The sound's a little more dirty, but they have more bass , they're a lot louder and they're a lot more fun. (if you don't mind the bizzaro '80's styling). If you're gonna drop some cash on headphones, don't waste your money on Bo$e.
