I bought these batteries together with my new Rebel XSi to have backup batteries. I am very, very satisfied and surprised how long and efficient they are. For just only a fifth of the price of the original product you can't do anything wrong!
I went on a two week trip and shot about 1200 pictures with a total of maybe 2.5 batteries.
I can't say anything about the lifetime yet.

I have had my camera (and this battery) for ~11months. When I first bought it, I couldn't tell the difference between the Canon battery and this one.
Now, when I let it sit for a month, the replacement battery won't even power up the camera while the Canon battery has a full charge. The replacement battery works fine as long as I charge it and use it within a week or so.

I bought from Eforcity, but this is the same battery. The canon LP-E5 is the same battery used in the Rebel T1i. I bought two of these, and both of the got stuck in the camera. I had to use a screwdriver to dislodge the battery from the T1i (500D). One battery I had to use more force than the other... Point is--they both got stuck. I purchased this battery as a back up for my cannon battery. I found the battery lasts just as long as the cannon battery that came with my camera. I have not had any problems charging it in the Xsi battery charger. I have not charged it more than a couple of times, so I don't know about the full life, but for the price I feel it is a bargain.Customer Review: Just Excellent!

I purchased 2 of these and i was a little worried about quality and battery life and sticking something in my camera that's not Canon, but after using both batteries down from a full charge i see no difference from the Canon battery that came with my camera. I felt is was worth a shot and I scored, great buy, couldn't be happier.
