Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Replacement Battery for Canon LP-E5, EOS 450D, REBEL XSI, EOS REBEL XS, EOS 1000D (800 mAh)Customer Review: Cheap price, cheap battery Summary: 3 Stars
I suppose for about the price of one Canon battery you could get enough of these to last as long. They are cheap, and it shows. I bought on for a backup, and it lasted about one day. My Canon battery lasts for 3+ days. (Not using live view on either)
It's fine for a backup battery, but don't count on it!
I would recommend it because it's cheap, but not for anything else. If your looking for long life, go for a factory brand, but if you don't mind changing batteries often, go for it....
Customer Review: Great second battery - so far!!! Summary: 5 Stars
As of this review this battery seems to hold its charge as well as the original Canon battery pack. I had to remove the paper/plastic label in order for the battery to easily fit in the battery slot of my Canon Rebel XSi. The original battery doesn't have an external label either. Very close tolerance on the battery compartment. Anyway, this is a non-issue, but when the label is removed the battery fits perfect.
So far I highly recomend at this fantastic price!!!
Customer Review: Canon XSI battery Summary: 2 Stars
The battery fits my Canon XSI but there is a problem. The battery goes in OK but getting it out is a PAIN. Before you put the battery in your camera wrap a short piece of ribbon or something around the battery(end to end) then insert in the camera. When you need to remove the battery pull on the two ends of the ribbon and it will come out. Otherwise it will NOT pop up like a Canon battery and is almost impossible to remove - try a pair of needle nose pliers. Good Luck!
Customer Review: Good, not great Summary: 3 Stars
I ordered the batteries from SF Planet and they have a black label on the batteries indicating 2000mAh but they do not hold a charge as well as my Canon OEM 1060mAh battery. They seem to last only 75% of the time my 1060mAh battery lasts. It appears someone is trying to mislead buyers into thinking they are getting a much higher capacity battery when my guess is the battery is lower then 1060mAh. They were inexpensive so I'm factoring cost into my rating.
Customer Review: Cheap and it works, battery life less than OEM. Summary: 4 Stars
The good: Super cheap, I bought 3. They all worked, and I have had them almost a year now and they are still going strong.
The bad: The battery life is less than that of the Canon battery, they actually feel quite a bit lighter in your hand. However, the battery life they have is actually pretty decent.
Overall: these are great, and cheap enough to just buy several.
