I finally got this trackball for my wife's Blackberry after weeks of hearing her complain about the original one being broken. I tried to fix it by placing a rubber band around the phone to hold the rim but had no success(I'm sure you've tried this). We looked at prices from the mobile store and were too expensive. It was delivered within two days of ordering and works like new. I would buy another one from this seller if it breaks down again.Customer Review: You get what you pay for.

Thinking all track balls are alike, I went for a low cost one. It installed fine and work fine for about a week. After a few days it began feeling loose. After a week or so, I needed to be pressing firmly on the track ball for it to move. After three weeks, it had become very finicky. Needless to say, I purchased another, but one equivalent to the OEM version and at a higher cost. A snow storm claimed my original blackberry pearl trackball making my phone rather nonfunctional. I ordered this expecting it to just work. The product fits loosely into the trackball socket which causes scrolling and motion to be at best erratic. My phone is slightly more usable than when it was missing the ball entirely. I am currently in the process of either finding a better quality replacement or justifying the purchase of an iPhone.Customer Review: Saves time and money - it works and is easy to install

My Blackberry Pearl's trackball progressively deteriorated until it stopped working. I found some internet sights which suggested that is possible to clean the trackball but I had no luck. After hours trying to get the trackball back together and installed I gave up. I liked the Pearl and didn't really want to buy a new phone - so I gave this a try. I dropped my blackberry, and the trackball and housing fell out and would not work when replaced. I went to a blackberry authorized repair center, which quoted my $100 to fix it. I wanted to try and fix it myself, so I purchased a trackball kit on Amazon, and within 5 days, it arrived. I opened it, popped it in, and my device was working within one minute, literally.
Hands down, this is the best $5.00 I have ever spent.
