Customer Review: Fine, but not durable.

I got this mouse about a year ago, and it worked for about 10 months. I guess that's not bad for a sub-$10 mouse, but I expect at least a year of reliable service out of any electronic device.
Unsurprisingly, the failure is probably the cord (which is pretty thin)-- when I left-clicks it doesn't actually "click" the computer, if you understand what I'm saying. It can no longer let the computer know that I've clicked, even though it still tracks reliably (the pointer still moves around fine).
When it did still work, it took a while to get used to. I have very small hands, and the mouse is very, VERY small, even for me, and so light that it moves a lot faster than I'd prefer. I actually had to turn down the speed for once! It took several weeks to adjust to, and I think I got a few hand cramps from using it for long periods of time. It's not ergonomic.
It is very cute (I had the blue), and I almost never had a problem quickly retracting the cord.
I also regularly transported it (in my backpack, as I'm a graduate student), and the size was a plus for that, it could fit almost anywhere.
Overall, I would not recommend this product due to the fast failure. If a ten month usability life is good enough for you, it should be fine. But the size and difficulty of adjusting to this mouse also plays a part, it was honestly not comfortable to use, even though I eventually adjusted to it. If "cuteness" is your main criteria for purchasing a mouse, then this one is a great choice, I got many positive comments on its appearance (it's very small, and comes in pretty colors).
I think for $10, I can do better.
