Customer Review: Lint-magnet; requires minor surgery

I'd recommend this item...if you have a sharp knife, a bit of patience, and a lint-free purse.
When we took this cover out of the box, the rubbery exterior actually covered the dial, unlike in the photo. It was difficult to move the dial through the rubber, so we carefully cut out that portion, and now it works great.
Also, there IS a clear face cover, but it doesn't stand out from the packaging, and we almost accidentally threw it away. Had to dig the packaging out of the recycle bin and find the tiny clear plastic cover, and only knew the cover was in there at all because I happened to read a similar warning from another reviewer.
Finally, the rubbery surface is a lint-magnet. I carry my ipod in my purse, and it's constantly covered with fuzzies.
But otherwise, it works.

[...] Once received, I found that the sleeve did fit but was quite loose and did not protect the screen at all. It's a good start if you want to protect your ipod classic with something that is inexpensive, easy to grip and hold, not bulky, and has opennings for most accessories. (Control wheel is completely covered but there is no inerference with fuctions.) However, I would strongly advise prospective buyers to shop around a bit more before buying this, or any similar product. Ipods are an investment, and clearly, you do get better protection when you spend a bit more time and money for it. I've made do with this sleeve for now but have already purchased another item that I am sure will prove better overall.Customer Review: Nice product

Very nice product. It has a good feel to it. My once slippery ipod is now easy to handle.
FYI, unlike a prior reviewer, it DOES have a screen protector. It is just not attached to the silicone. It is loose in the packing and easy to apply after you read the printed tabs. I almost threw it out thinking it was packing material...then I realized it was part of the case. I suspect the other reviewer discarded the screen protector without realizing it.
This would be great for a woman who leaves her ipod unprotected rattling in her purse.
Very nice. Highly recommended for the 120 gb Ipod classic.

Good:
The product fits well and comes with a screen protector. Price was very good, too.
Not so Good:
I had to trim the screen protector to fit the Ipod Classic 120 GB. Also, the case covers the volume controls, and for some reason it won't register when you try to use those sliding controls with the case on. It worked sometimes, but mostly it wouldn't work. I just ended up cutting that part out. After that, the case is solid and does its job of keeping scratches off.

the picture shown when i ordered my sleeve had an opening where the ipod wheel is located so you can adjust volume and move up and down thru lists, however, the one i received does not have this hole it is solid silicone so i can actually do both of those things only around 2 times out of 10. it sometimes takes more than 10 tries just to turn up the volume or scroll thru songs to find the one you want.
