I have a number of RJ45 Ethernet patch cables around my house. These connectors do not fit any of them. They are NOT the same connector type as the familiar ethernet jack on the back of your PC.
Even though the package is marked "ethernet", I think they are only for 8 line telephone cables. No use at all for ethernet cables-at least any of the ones I own.
They don't cost enough to ship back.
The back of the package specifies that these are not "cat-5" connectors, whatever that means.

What can I say except these couplers work great in extending your CAT5&6 patch cables without issue. Great price as always with Amazon and have been using these to extend the length of my cable runs to my POE cameras. If you need to extend your Ethernet reach or as in my case want to run a length in standard cable and switch to flat for external use then these are the units for you. Pick some up to add to your cabling toolbox. Would buy again and in fact picked up 4 of these so far.Customer Review: This is available in every Dollar store

I am surprised people actually paying $6 or more for something that you can buy for $1 at any Dollar shop. Another thought is why buy an extender when you can buy a 50 feet cable for $10. Extender leaks the signal and can add interference. I was looking for this as a filler under $1 to reach $25 (for free shipping).Customer Review: Decent Coupler

It is a very utilitarian item, not much to add to that.
It isn't fair to give the product one star though for poor shipping practices by the Amazon sellers, even if they are outrageous.
