The plastic that covers the cord is very soft, great value for the price! I've purchased two; one for my printer and one for my external hardrive. I've been having trouble with my external hardrive connections and thought it was the hardware's problem but it was actually a cable problem. Now it's working just fine. Good Belkin quality type cable, long enough and reliable. I purchased a generic USB printer cable from a 99cent store hoping I could return this Belkin cable. I ended up using the Belkin cable instead because the generic cable had problems keeping my printer recognized as a device in my computer. Great price from Amazon and great product from Belkin. Exact cable that I needed the first time, based on an excellent description and picture on the Amazon website. Connected to computer and printer in an instant and it worked first time. Went to a local store, same product was $22.00. I can wait a few days for shipping with these prices. This is a nice regular usb cable which fits most printers, Scanners and other USB Devices which don't come with their own special cable. I bought three of these. The length let me place my scanner and printer and Logitech Camera "off my desk".Customer Review: No problems

I ordered this cable to use between my laptop and new printer b/c printers dont come with the cables anymore (real nice right??) Anyway the I saw these cables in Staples and some other office supply store for $$20+. This cable worked perfectly for 1/3 of the price. No problems at all, and it was here in just over a week with FREE shipping.
