Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Belkin F8E060 10-Piece Computer Tool Kit

Customer Review: Great starter kit.
Summary: 5 Stars

I very recently got my A+ and needed a simple kit to do repairs on my own laptop as well. This one has the basic stuff you'll need - parts grabber, screwdrivers, etc. - and comes in a nice little case. For the price it's a really great deal until I decide to upgrade to the 36 or 55 piece kits (if I ever have to.) The only thing I'd suggest is throwing in a wrist strap and/or mat since all tech folks need them and it's simpler to get everything at once. Otherwise highly recommended to the casual user that does occasional repairs or for tech people it can be an "emergency" or travel kit you keep around just in case.

Customer Review: Cheap, utilitarian, basic kit.
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a cheap and utilitarian basic tool kit. It has just what you need for working on your hardware and nothing more. A couple philips and a couple flat-heads with a nice little parts retrieving tool. If you just need an extra kit around, it's worth it. No frills and not something you'll want to use for heavy duty jobs, but if you're putting a computer together, go for it. You can buy more expensive "computer tool kits", but they tend to mostly come with a lot of additional pieces that you'll never use, like a "memory chip remover/setter". When was the last time anyone needed that?!

Customer Review: Great Little Toolkit
Summary: 5 Stars

Has just about everything you'll need for basic computer assembly. Not much more I can add to this review, other than if you're building your own computer, you can't go wrong with this toolkit for it's price. The only tool I would call into question is the "chip remover" (The U-shaped yellow prong thing on the left side of the picture.) It should do it's job well, but it's not absolutely necessary. If it were me, I would remove that, and add in the Belkin Grounding Strap in it's place. Beyond that, perfect!

Customer Review: works great
Summary: 4 Stars

ive used everything and all tools are useful. they are a bit 'cheap' but thats exactly what i paid for the kit! handles feel like they will break if i applied to much force but theyre for working on comps so no need for the kind of force that would break them. if youre working on cars or appliances get something else but this kit is great for electronics.
a flashlight (and anti-static wrist strap) would round out the kit nicely but if you have a small mag-lite type put it with the kit and youll be all set.

Customer Review: Great standard computer kit
Summary: 5 Stars

Perfectly good basic computer tool kit. I've been using a Belkin tool kit just like this one for years, then bought a no-name brand one for my girlfriend, only to have one of the screwdrivers break from normal use after like a week of owning it. Then I bought her one of these, and it's worked very well.

Highly recommended. If you're thinking of saving money on a kit that's just a few dollars cheaper, you're much better off paying for the higher quality you'll find in this kit.
